The Voyage That Led Me To You

Chapter Nine

"Wakey wakey sleepy head" I blinked my eyes to get a clearer view as I slowly sat up in my bed and muttered out incoherent curses which earned a sniggered from the person. Wait, what person? Averting my gaze to Cameron whom was sitting on the end of my bed rather comfortably, I released an ear-piercing scream and scrambled to the corner of the room, bundled up in my blankie. "What are you- Get out!" I yelled, glaring at him which made him laughed and lift both his hands up in surrender. "Woah relax, I just came to check on you. Don't you miss me?" He asked, crossing his arms and pouting as he did. Averting my gaze from him to the floor, I wrapped the blanket tightly around me.

"Cam" I started off as I felt his questioning gaze on me. "...I'm literally naked right now so if you could please-" Before I knew it, he was out the door, slamming it shut. "You should have said so earlier!" He shouted from the other side which made me cracked up. "You should have just waited 'til I wake up!" I retorted, grabbing my everyday clothes and walking off into the bathroom.

What a beautiful morning.

"Here comes Princess Mia Thermopolis" Rolling my eyes, I sauntered into the kitchen completely ignoring Cameron and the girls. Pushing the door open, I was halted when a manly figure blocked my way. Feeling rather annoyed, I lifted my head only to be met with a pair of green eyes. Those green eyes that I fell deeply in love with. "Hey there beautiful" Jude spoke in an undertone, leaning in to peck my cheeks. Feeling heat rushed up my cheeks, I quickly sauntered pass him, busying myself with drinks. He let out a chuckle, knowing the effect he have on me. "So, are you free today?" He asked, snapping me out of my trail of thoughts.

Grabbing a hold of myself, I turned away from the counter to faced him and tapped my chin teasingly. "Hmm, am i?" I questioned out loud, purposely ragging him. Shifting my gaze towards him, I burst out laughing at the hopefullness in his eyes. "What? What's so funny?" He bleated, walking towards me. I bit my lips, holding back the urge to laugh and shook my head. His next action took me off guard. He rested his hands on the counter, trapping me in between them. "Now, would you tell me what's so funny?" Eventhough his voice sounded menancing, his eyes had a glint of mischief in them which made me doubled up with laughter.

"Hey hey hey, keep it PG you guys" Cameron entered the kitchen, making the both of us turned towards him. Taking this as an opportunity, I pushed my way out of Jude's so called trap and ran out to the living room where the girls were all seated out. My gaze fell onto Luke and Aidan and as they noticed me running out of the kitchen, they waved at me. Lifting my hands up, I took a seat beside Aria whom seemed rigid. "What's wrong? Are you okay?" I asked under my breathe, placing a hand on her shoulders. She nodded, taking a fast glance towards the left side of me. It was so fast, it seemed as if she hadn't done that. But I saw it. I, Mia Bridget Evan saw her peeking at Luke whom just so happened was doing the same. I smirked, looking at the both of them. I have a brilliant idea.

"Hey Luke" I called out, as he snapped his head towards me, of course not forgetting to take a secret look at Aria. "Can you be a sweetheart? Go to the nearest minimart and get us some drinks. We're running out of them" Confused was written all over his features as he hesitantly stood up and nodded. "Wait!" I shouted, placing a hand behind Aria's back and pushing her towards him. May or may not have done that with too much force but hey, they should thank me for it. I watched in amusement as Luke grabbed her waist with both his arms and Aria placing her hands against his chest. Aww! If only we really weren't running out of drink, I wouldn't interrupt their 'moment' but you know what they say, 'good things don't last forever'

Clearing my throat, I narrowed my eyes at them as they muttered apology and scampered out the door. Shaking my head, I watched as Jude struggled to carry the pizza boxes into the living room so I did what my conscious asked to, I ran over to give him a hand. "Thanks beautiful" He muttered, smilling at me. "Don't call me that" Grabbing the box from his hands, returning his smile. "Why not? You're beautiful Mia" Blushing at his words, I strode passed him which made him let out a chuckle. Damm you Jude Flynn.
