Chapter 14

[Nara Shizuka P.O.V.]

I used to be close friends to Ino and Sakura. But after the academy we kind of lost contact. Maybe I was too involved with my own issues that I didn't even want contact. But after the onsen the other day, they decided we should hang out more so decided to go out for dumplings for lunch. I sit down at a table outside while I wait for them. "And it's not that having a girl is bad.." I turn my head as I hear my fathers voice. "It's that they turn into beautiful woman. You know what I'm talking about Inoichi" father says. I blink confused. "It's like Shizuka developed overnight! Suddenly She has enormous breasts, almost bigger than Yoshino's. Where did my little girl go?I'm not ready to fight the boys off of her" I giggle slightly as Inoichi says "tell me about it" I wave as I see Ino and Sakura walk this way. "I'm really glad you agreed Shizuka" Ino says after we order.  "Yeah...me too. It was time I got out more" I say. "I've accepted my place in the clan and I decided it's time to direct my energy in a different direction" I say tucking my hair behind my ear. "Good for you" Sakura says smiling. "So lets catch up. How is you're training under Tsunade-sama going?" I ask. The waitress puts our tea and dumplings on the table and I take a skewer. "You're really going to make us ask?" Ino asks dryly.  "Ask about what?" I respond before biting a dumpling off the skewer. Both Sakura and Ino look at me dryly. "Kiba of course" Sakura says. I smile mysteriously. "What about Kiba?" I ask. "You're kidding right?" Ino says as she puts her tea down.  "You've been dating him right? Tell us the scoops girl!"

It's suddenly getting quiet in the shop behind me. Did Toosan hear her? Let's have some fun. "Oh that" I say. "Yeah I've been dating him for a while now, you know that... What do you want me to tell you?" I ask. Both Sakura and Ino sigh deeply. "Can't believe you're doing this to us" Ino says shaking her head. "You know everything. Kisses, is he romantic, have you done more?" Sakura winks. "Well, you know we kissed" I shake my head chuckling. "He is very romantic and.." before I can continue talking I feel a presence behind me. Curiously I turn my head to see my father, Inoichi and Chōza behind me. "Oh...hello Toosan" I say innocently. I gaze at Ino and Sakura who both look a bit guilty as they say hi too. "What's this I hear about dating?" Father asks. "Were you eavesdropping Toosan?" I say semi offended. Judging from the sweatdrop on his head he was. "T..that doesn't matter!" He says. "You're too young to be dating" he says. "I'm fifteen years old.." I say dryly. "Too young like I said. You're not allowed to date" he says. "Kaasan said I'm allowed to date" I say. "You're not! I'll talk to Kaasan about it" Father says. "Oh, so you're going up against her wishes?" I ask. Inoichi and Chōza start laughing. "We'll talk about this later young lady" Father scoffs as he walks away, Chōza and Inoichi following him. "Mendokusai" I sigh as I lean my chin on my hand. "Fathers right" Ino says sighing while shaking her head. "Mine is just like that. Why are beautiful girls cursed with annoying parents" Sakura says. I laugh with them both. "Hey...Shizuka" Ino sounds sad so I look at her immediately. "Don't disappear on us like that again..okay?" She says. "You're our friend...we're always here for you" Sakura adds. I smile. "I won't" I say.

After lunch we decide to meet up with Tenten and Hinata on the training field. "We're not going to let boys beat us are we?" Tenten says. I place my hands on my hips. "That kind of depends on what you mean" I say. "Do we need to get stronger? Absolutely. I for one don't want to depend on boys. I can totally take care of myself" I say. "But just training isn't enough. We have to train efficiently" I say, placing a finger on my chin. "We have to train our weaknesses. We have to be better in a different way." I say. "What do you mean by that?" Hinata asks. "I do like to train with my team" she adds. "I'm not saying you can't or shouldn't" I answer. "But if we're going to train together, we have to train that you can't train with out or your teams" I say. "Leave it to a Nara to come up with a strategy" Ino chuckles.  "For example; there are techniques that my father only teaches Shikamaru because he'll be the next head. That doesn't mean I didn't learn them, I'll train those with you guys" I smirk. "That's the direction you need to think" all the girls start thinking, including myself. "Then how will we do this?" Tenten asks. "We'll meet up once a week if we're not on a mission?" Sakura offers. "Thats a good idea, we'll make a girls day out of it" Ino says. "I'll make lunch" Hinata says. I smile. "And maybe we'll end the day at the onsen" I wink, making the rest even more enthusiastic. I jump onto the training trunk. "Let's start then. How about we help each other out Tenten" I say. Tenten smirks. "Are you sure you're ready for that?" She asks. I lean my hands on my knees. "Why don't we find out huh ?" I smirk back. "Oh imma watch this!" Ino says sitting down, Sakura and Hinata following her in her example.
