Chapter 50

Inuzuka Kiba P.O.V.

I look up when I hear a knock. "Taicho" Hyosuke says. "You have a visitor" he says and Shikamaru pops up behind him. "Come on in, both of you and close the door" I say. I lean back in my chair and cross my arms. "Tell me" I say, looking at Hyosuke. He looks at Shikamaru. "Are you sure, Taicho?" He asks. "Yeah it's her brother, it's okay" I say. "So, we finally got the toxicology from the hospital, from the missus' blood" Hyosuke hands me a file. "Took them long enough" I scoff as I open the file. "The interesting part is that the poison isn't to be found anywhere near Konoha" Hyosuke says. "Then where does it come from?" Shikamaru asks. "It doesn't say" I say, looking down at the paper. I look up at Hyosuke. "It's unknown" he sighs. I slam my fist on the table. "Another dead end" I growl. "Not per se Taicho" Hyosuke says. "We can send word to the other great villages of the alliance. There must be someone who knows this poison. It must come from somewhere" Hyosuke says. "I can ask Temari. She comes from the sand after all" Shikamaru says, crossing his arms. "Perhaps a good idea" I say. "Communication goes through the Hokage though. Want me to go over?" Hyosuke says. "Yes please. Good work. It's my day off tomorrow, but if you learn anything let me know alright?" I ask. "Will do" Hyosuke waves casually as he leaves my office. I sigh again and lean back in my chair. "What can I do for you Shikamaru?" I ask. Shikamaru smiles as he places his hand on his hip. "If you keep biting down on this case, Kiba. You're going to burn yourself out" he says amused. "Then what am I going to do Shikamaru? Someone tried to kill my wife" I say. "You're no good to both Kisho and Shizuka burnt out" Shikamaru says. I cross my arms. "Stay over tonight. It'll do you all some good" Shikamaru says smiling.

I smile as I hear Kisho's satisfied sounds as he drinks from the bottle. "Good boy" I say softly as I look down on him. "Must feel good huh? Holding him, feeding him" Temari says, as she places a glass in front of me, before sitting down next to her husband and start pouring beer in my glass, as well as in Shikamaru's. "Sure does" I say. "Thank you for letting me stay over" I say. "No problem at all" Temari says. Shikadai runs in and immediately goes over to Akamaru to cuddle. Akamaru allows it all. Shizuka leans against the doorway heavily panting. "I wasn't gone that long, that you had to send your kid" Shizuka pants. "Yeah, you were" Shikamaru walks over to her, and helps her to the table. "Catch your breath, and take the medicine" Shikamaru says, sliding her glass toward her. Shizuka pulls a face but drinks it. "How is he doing?" She asks, looking at Kisho. "Good. Eating like the big boy that he is" I say smiling, looking down at him again. When he finishes his bottle, I put him against my shoulder and pat his back softly until he burps.  "That's my good boy" I say smiling. They really need to come home. I lift my son from my shoulder and kiss my son before I lower him onto my arm. "Toto!" Shikadai suddenly shouts while snuggles against Akamaru's fur. "I was really hoping that he would feel that way about Kisho" Shikamaru smiles. It sure helps that you and Temari take care of Kisho most of the time now.. Shikadai runs over and climbs onto Shizuka's lap. "Aren't you getting tired Shikadai?" Shizuka asks as she strokes his head. "No. Toto tired" he says. Kisho yawns and I smile. "Kisho is tired yes" I say smiling.

"You have no idea, how happy I am to be in the same bed as you again. Even if it's for a night" I say softly, pulling Shizuka into my arms. "Probably about as happy as I am" Shizuka whispers before pressing her lips onto mine. I immediately kiss back, bringing my hands to her beautiful ass. I squeeze softly as our tongues explore each other's mouths. I sigh softly before opening my eyes. "I'm sorry" I mumble softly. "It's been a while, I can't help it." I whisper. "That's no problem baby" Shizuka smiles. "After all, I'm glad you still have that kind of reaction toward me" she says seductively "hmm how can I not?" I ask, bringing my hand toward her face and trace her lower lip with my thumb. Which she kisses. My eyes widen slightly as I feel her hand on my hardened member. "Hmm I appreciate it baby, but I can't jeopardize your health right now" I whisper. Shizuka looks at me. "Are you saying I can't please my own husband right now?" She whispers. I kiss Shizuka, and I kiss her passionately. I roll myself onto her, leaning my forearms beside her head while still kissing her passionately. She immediately wraps her legs around my waist. "I know you can, and there's nothing I want more right now" I whisper. "Then why don't you let me" Shizuka asks with sadness in her eyes. "Because I can't lose you baby" I say, with the same sadness in my eyes. I bring my lips to her ear. "You can barely walk toward the bathroom, how could you survive if I would do you right now?" I whisper in her ear before taking her earlobe in between my teeth. Shizuka moans softly. "Anata, a woman got needs too" she whispers. I playfully bite her neck. "And I'd gladly help you with that." I whisper before looking at my wife. "If it wouldn't cause your death" I say. Shizuka pouts, I kiss her lower lip. "As soon as you're healthy, I'm going to take the day off and I'm going to please you the whole damn day. I promise" I whisper. Shizuka groans. "You better deliver on that promise" she mumbles.
