Chan's POV
"Chan, are you serious right now?!" A yell sounded from the door.
I turned my attention to the voice, seeing Jisung stood at the door with his brows raised.
"Jisung, I-"
"Save your excuses..." Jisung chuckled, "But, there's something you need to see." He nodded down to the corridor. I got up from the bed without hesitation.
"Stay here." I whispered to the girl, leaving her alone in the room as I followed Jisung down the corridor.
I frowned as I saw my father heading towards my room, I stopped him. "Where're you going?"
He stood silent before turning to me, "I'm going to talk to the girl." He smiled, glaring down at me.
"No, there's no need for you t-"
"Yes, there is." He interrupted me, tightening his tie up to his collar, "The first day she arrived you said I'd be able to talk to her once you'd questioned her. I haven't heard anything about her since then. So, let me speak to her." He growled.
"Fine. Just, don't...scare her." I sighed.
"You shouldn't be worried about that, Chan. Your job's to get information from her, not keep her as your pet and give me orders of what to do with her. I'll do what I want." He bit the inside of his cheek, tightening his fists as he rested his arms either side of his body. "Don't you have work to be attending to?" He questioned, nodding at Jisung who stood waiting at the end of the hall.
"Chan, let's go." He waved to me.
I shook my head with frustration at my father, quickly making my way towards Jisung.
I knew my father was intrigued about her, he wanted to know as much as I did. I was just hoping he'd get more information from her than I did.
"Do you wanna tell me what happened then?" I raised my brow to Jisung, waiting for an explanation as I followed him down the staircase.
"We haven't found him if that's what you mean." He exhaled.
He seemed out of breath, as if he'd been rushing. Maybe it was more important than I thought.
"So...what did you find?"
He stopped at the bottom of the stairs, turning to face me, "I'll show you."
He led me out towards the staircase, leading to the basement floor. "Shit." I muttered, rushing down the stairs.
I realised the three doors at the bottom of the stairs contained specific files, they were down here for a reason. Every door was locked, always. So, it worried me if maybe someone had gotten in...
I stood between all three doors; one in front, one to the left, and one to the right.
"Seems he found the security footage..." Jisung looked at me, nodding to the door to the right of us.
"Who else has been in here?"
I walked into the room, finding it empty, the equipment smoking.
I rushed over, widening my eyes at the smoke, "What happened?!" I questioned, waving my hands to clear the smoke.
Jisung walked over, lifting up a mug of coffee, "Someone spilt a coffee mug."
"You think it was him?"
He scoffed, "Trust me, it was him. Who else would it have been?"
The second person that came to mind was the girl, but she was with me... So I knew it wasn't her.
