Chan's POV

"What's the favour you need?" Minho sat back in his chair, scratching the table with the stubs of his nails.

"She mentioned someone other than Daehyun and Peniel..." I sighed, looking up to them, "Remember my father mentioning Sungjae?"

"The hacker?" Jisung frowns.

I nodded to him, pulling up a file onto the table. "Remember Case 310? It was the supposed arson attack? And it turned out to be-"

"Sungjae setting off nuclears to prove his loyalty to Daehyun." Jeongin sighs, scratching the back of his head.

"Mmh, yeah." I nod, "The girl said she saw Sungjae when she was with Peniel."

"Yeah, because they work together. Isn't that a little obvious?" Hyunjin grumbled.

"You're right, but she didn't mention anyone else. She said she'd only ever met Peniel, and briefly Sungjae."

"So, what're you thinking?" Seungmin furrowed his brows confusingly.

"Look, if she was friends with Peniel... she'd be friends with all of them, right? Surely she'd know who he was, and who his friends were."

"Why was she hanging out with him, then?" Woojin seemed to be catching on quicker than the others.

"Exactly."

"Did she say she new they were in a gang?" Felix narrowed his eyes, tilting his head to an angle.

"She didn't have to. She knew he worked with Daehyun..."

"How would she know that? Only people in the industry know who works with who... You can't tell me that she has nothing to do with it, now. I told you we should be careful with her! Take her into questioning." Hyunjin fell back into his seat, chewing the inside of his cheek.

"No. I'll talk to her myself." I growled, my eyelids drooping as I glared at him.

He glanced up to the ceiling, shaking his head with annoyance, "This is a bad idea..."

"Did she say how she knew?" Woojin interrupted.

"Her father heard about it."

"What did she say exactly? You need to tell us everything. Meaning we all need to get our heads down and start working on this. Including you, Hyunjin." Woojin made eyes at him, raising a brow.

"Oh, c'mon. I'm the only one who seems to be taking this case seriously. I told you about her, and none of you listened."

"That's because none of us know her, we've hardly seen her, either." Changbin scoffed.

"Stop arguing and listen." I hit my hand against the table in front of me, earning the attention of everyone in the room. "The girl said she spoke to her father about what Peniel had asked her-"

"What did he ask?" Felix spoke quickly.

"Peniel assumed she had something to do with Daehyun, that's what her father said. He questioned her about a few things. She said she knew nothing, then asked her father and he just straight up guessed it was to do with Daehyun."

"How do we know she's not lying?" Seungmin looked over to me, his eyes rounded.

"I trust her."

"So, what? You expect us to trust her, too?" He shook his head, rolling his eyes.

"No, I expect you to trust me. I trust her, so trust me in doing so."

Woojin nodded, "He's right. Just go with it. We need to get more information before we start trusting anyone else outside of this group."

"What I need you to do is find Sungjae." I nodded, "I need him back here at base, Felix I'm gonna need you to interrogate him."

"No problem, hyung." He nodded, "How're we supposed to get to him? Have we actually thought about any of this? Do they even know what we did to Peniel? Do we know where they're hiding?"

I shook my head, turning my head towards Jeongin, "That's where he comes in."

"What do I need to do?" He questions.

"My father has Peniel's phone. I need you to hack into it, and I need you to be able to send a message to Sungjae."

"And that message should say, what?"

I shrugged my shoulders, "I'm sure you'll think of something when you get around to doing it. It needs to be something he's gonna fall for, not something like 'meet me here', it's a stupid idea... We wouldn't get him that way."

"What do the rest of us do?" Minho sits back up in his seat, resting his hands on the table.

"You and Jisung can go downstairs to the file room, look through his file. Look through every other file who's a member of BtoB. Study them, memorise them, let me know if there's anything important we need to know. Any allies that can be used against us, anyone we need to watch out for and be careful of... Go and do that, now. We need them as soon as possible. Felix, go with Jeongin to get Peniel's phone, help him get into it and make sure we're able to send that message. Do it quickly."

Minho and Jisung stood from their seats, leaving the room, as did Felix and Jeongin who followed quickly behind.

"What do we do?" Hyunjin stared over to me, raising his brow.

"Changbin, you can go with Hyunjin and set up some things for later."

"What do we need setup?" Changbin spoke, standing up.

"Get the equipment into the van. Get everything we need to be able to get Sungjae." I nodded, watching him walk towards the door as he waited for Hyunjin.

"And that includes guns, I hope?" He asked, standing up.

"Pack the guns, pack bullets. But, just to be clear, if I do send the both of you out... Don't use them unless he tries anything. We need him more than anyone else. Got it?"

He saluted to me jokingly, "Yes, sir."

He left the room, leaving only Seungmin, Woojin and I.

"There's not much left to do... Both of you keep guard of the girl, stand outside my room. I don't want her exploring anymore than she already has..." I sighed, scratching my neck before standing to my feet.

"What're you gonna do?" Seungmin asks.

"I need to speak to my father about this... I don't think he's gonna be too happy with what the girl told me."
