Eun's POV
We got up to the first floor, avoiding the remaining three guards on the ground floor. Woojin and Changbin would've gotten to them by now.
"We only need to find four guards on the first floor." Minho carefully made his way around the corner, "Jisung, let Woojin know that we'll head up to the second floor once we've taken a look around here."
"On it." Jisung responded quickly.
"How do you know whether there are actually four guards up here? They could be dead for all we know." Hyun-sik rolled his eyes, keeping his gun held up as he looked around the corridors.
"Our radars are based off of temperature. Trust me, we'd know if they were already dead." Chan sniggered, looking around to see if I was still behind him. "You okay?" He ruffled my hair, moving his head back to look ahead of us.
I tugged on his jacket, making sure he'd stay beside me, "I'm okay."
Apart of me felt nervous, as if something would happen... Yet, the rest of me wanted to get this night over and done with. My legs ached, my eyes were half asleep, I could hardly stay awake. I wanted to sleep more than anything, but the gunshots seemed to be keeping me awake. And, at times, Minho shot his gun at the wall just to keep me awake, he noticed me dozing off multiple times.
"Still nothing from Hyunjin or Felix?" Chan seemed to be talking to Jisung again.
"Nothing... We can't see their radars either..."
"At all?" Minho's eyes rounded, "Keep looking for them."
"Shouldn't you try calling them?" I frowned, looking up to Chan.
Minhyuk scoffed, looking at me in disgust, "Are you stupid?"
"Hey, watch it." Chan snarled at him, pulling me back.
"If you call him his phone would go off. They could be hiding somewhere, did they have any weapons with them?"
Chan looked to Minho, "Actually... I don't remember giving them anything. You think they got caught?"
"Even if they did, "Minho started, "They'd be better off than any of us. They're a lot more skilled without weapons, they'll be fine."
"Minho, there's one in the room to your left."
He swivelled around, turning the door handle carefully. The door didn't seem to budge. "I think it's locked from the inside..." He furrowed his brows, moving back slightly, "Well, I'm getting in one way or the other." He shrugged, lifting his leg as he kicked at the wooden door.
"Minho, you're gonna draw attention!" Chan grabbed him, trying to hold him back.
"Don't worry. We'll cover you." Sungjae, turned in the opposite direction of us, looking around for anyone who might come out to attack. Minhyuk turned with him, whilst Hyun-sik took the other side to cover for us.
"Be careful-" I covered my face as the door began to snap, Chan hovering over me.
He broke off the wood, fitting his arm through to turn the lock on the door.
"That's not the best idea, Minho." Chan sighed, "What if your hand got shot?"
"Then I'd use my other hand, duh."
I sighed, lowering my head at the stupidity.
He pushed the door open, extending his arm out with the gun in his hand. He lowered his gun immediately at the sight of Felix with his gun held up, too.
"Don't scare me like that." He exhaled, falling back down onto his bed. "How'd you know I was up here?"
Minho chuckled, "We could smell fear."
