Chan's POV

"From the very beginning, I knew that she was Kim Eun." My father grinned, "Which is perfect for us."

I narrowed my eyes at him, is he serious...?

"Perfect?" I scoffed, "How is this perfect for us?! You knew and didn't bother saying anything? To any of us??

"This is the reason I didn't say anything." He bellowed, "I knew you'd have something to say about it."

"She knows so much, now!"

"Did you tell her anything?" He raised a brow at me.

"No, of course I didn-"

"Then we have nothing to worry about. She knows what's happened with Dohyun, and she knows what we want." He chuckled, "Put your personal matters aside, Chan. This is a business, not some kind of whore project."

"Whore proje-?" I sniggered, "You think that's what I cared about??"

"It seemed as though you cared more about your sex life rather than the situation at hand. You put her first for everything, don't even pretend as if you didn't."

He'd never spoken to me in this way, and it was finally starting to show. But he was right. I cared more about her than I did for this case, I knew I shouldn't have let my personal feelings get involved, yet they did.

"What do you want us to do?" I sat back in my chair, listening out for his instructions.

"We don't need to do anything. We wait for them to come to us." He smirked, clearing his throat. "It won't be long before they're knocking on our door."

"They?" Hyunjin raised a brow, "Don't tell me that girl's gonna be back?"

"It's likely, Hyunjin." My father nodded, "They'll get as many of their recruits as they can."

I blanked out for a moment, rethinking my decisions.

I let her in, I trusted her with so much and she broke my trust over something she hardly even knew. I shouldn't be beating myself up over it, she made it out to be some kind of fling... But, I thought it was more than that...

"Chan, are you listening to me?"

I snapped out of my trance, looking back up to my father, "Sorry, sir..."

I couldn't get the thought out of my head. And, what was even worse is that, I missed her.

"You all need to be ready. I don't know how many recruits he has, and I don't know the training they've had, be warned that they could be a lot stronger than you." He warned us, linking his fingers as he dropped his hands onto the table.

"No one go for the girl." I growled, clenching my fists in my seat, "If anyone kills her, it's me."

"Good lad." My father chuckled, standing from his seat.

The rest of the boys stood to their feet, bowing to him as he passed us.

"Everyone get ready. We don't know when they're going to strike."

He nodded before leaving the room, slamming the door behind us.

I slammed my hand onto the table, tearing at my hair, "I knew it."

"You knew it?" Changbin raised a brow, "You should've known from the start."

Woojin growled, "Instead of getting your hands down her pants you should've investigated her! What did we say? We warned you this entire time."
