THE SUN WASN'T OUT YET and it wouldn't be out until in about a couple of hours. I was laying on Lorraine's beach chair with a thin blanket wrapped around me. I continued to stare at the darkened sky before I heard footsteps approach me causing me to look over.
"What are you doing here, Calvin?" I asked my ex-boyfriend curiously since nobody was supposed to be up at the moment
"I couldn't sleep, not with what happened yesterday. What about you?" Calvin asked me in concern as he went to kneel beside me
"I woke up a couple of minutes ago, I had to pee. I couldn't go back to sleep so I came out here to relax." I explained to Calvin as I made an effort to scooch over
"Don't, I'm okay right here," Calvin told me and I gave him a look before parting my legs, letting them fall on the sides
"Get in between my legs, Calvin, and touch my stomach. The baby is kicking." I informed him with a wide grin and he stood up, doing what he was told
"That's so cool, Jamie. Do you know the gender yet?" Calvin asked me quietly as I placed his hands on my belly where the baby was kicking
"I do, but I'm not going to tell you yet," I admitted to him with a smirk on my lips and he shook his head, eyeing my belly with a smile

"Hi, Mr. Baker! Hi, Jamie!" I heard the familiar voice of Elliot greet me as I walked out of the lakehouse just as Bud and Nora walked back inside
"Hi, Elliot. What's up?" Dad asked Elliot curiously as he helped me down the steps before turning to face him
"I was looking for Sarah," Elliot informed us as he walked closer to us making me grin widely at the mention of my sister
"You mean Jake." Dad corrected Elliot with a nervous smile making me snort but I quickly covered it by coughing
"No, Sarah and I and Calvin are going boarding again this afternoon." Elliot corrected him this time and I shifted a bit on my feet
"She'll be back soon, Elliot. She went out with our mom on a run." I said to Elliot who nodded his head
"Okay. I'll just wait on the dock." Elliot told us as he began to take a couple of steps back before Dad called him back
"Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait...sit down," Dad told Elliot nodding his head to the steps making me roll my eyes
"Okay." Elliot told him and I gave him a smile as I passed him, continuing to walk towards the dock where Calvin was at
"Do you where Elliot is? He was supposed to be getting Sarah." Calvin told me in concern as he lifted his head to stare at me
"He's at the lakehouse, my Dad is interrogating him," I informed the oldest Murtaugh with a smirk on my lips
