Hey Peeps! It has been a long time and I apologize for not updating this story. This time will be a twist. But the main couple is still Naeun and Kai, it'll be more dramatic, I hope. 

I'll try updating soon as possible. I have other stories to complete as well. And making new ones too.

~2 weeks later~

Dear Diary,

I don't know how should I explain this. It's too hard. The case of missing nurses have been gone too long. It started when I worked at the hospital where Lay Oppa worked. His own company shut it down because of it.

Maybe...it's the best way to change my career I guess. Maybe use my medical skills for something else.

Naeun closed her diary and put it right where no one can see but her.

She put on her slippers and went downstairs to the kitchen. Where she found her mom and dad talking to Mr. Kim.

"I'll arrange things if you want." Mr. Kim said.
"Sir, should we reconsider? I'll have to speak with my daughter."

Naeun listened closely in the hallway.

"Let's have an engagement. For Naeun and Jongin."

Naeun nearly caught her balance and she leaned on the wall for support.

"But Mr. Kim, this is too sudden for us. The case of the missing nurses is still pending. We must solve the case first." Her mom said.

"I agree. But you both served me well for years. But I want to have someone like Naeun to be my daughter- in - law. My health, it isn't going well. You know that very well, Mr. Son." Mr. Kim said.

Naeun's parents looked at each other, worriedly.

"And please don't think that I'm using your daughter. It's just that, Jongin has made contact with her since high school. He reminds me of myself sometimes." Mr. Kim said as he chuckled.

"My daughter is a nurse, Mr. Kim. We don't know if she's the next target." Her mom said.

"And that's why my son will protect her. Isn't he part of your sons department?" Mr. Kim asked.

Naeun's parents stayed silent.

"He...well. He turned it down, sir. That's what my son said."

"Ah, I see."

"Mr. Kim, may I please discuss this with my daughter? Surely she wants to know what's been going on." Mr. Son said.

"Oh certainly.  After you discuss this with her, I will like to talk to her as well. Tell her to meet me in my office." Mr. Kim smiled at the two.

Naeun took a few breaths because this is all of a sudden.

First, Kai wanted to protect her, now he doesn't. And now this? MARRIAGE?

Naeun then walked quietly back to her bedroom. She sat on her bed and thought about the conversation. Honestly, she doesn't know what to do or what to think.
