💛Chapter 9💜

Nightmare's pov

Aiden and his group led us into the forest. I don't like this at all.

Veronica kept giving me this evil smirk whenever Dream wasn't looking. It sent chills down my spine.

We advanced further and further into the deep, shady green forest.

"It smells nice in here!"

Dream said cheerfully. Dream and Aiden walked ahead, with Lilith and Axel walking behind me, Veronica on my left and Carson on my right.

Trying to run for it would be plain stupid. Dream would try and ask me what's wrong but I can't tell him, and these guys would surely do SOMETHING harmful to me if I even dared make a move like that. I'm not stupid, I know they're up to something. I'll have to find a loophole in this situation later. I know they won't hurt Dream, because he's the guardian of positivity and everyone loves him. But I'm a different story. I'm Nightmare, the guardian of negative feelings. There's a high chance they're gonna do something to me. If they actually aren't, then I'm not sure what to say about the glares that have consistently been sent in my direction.

"Aaaaand we're here!"

Aiden said as we all walked into a nice clearing surrounded by bushes and shrubs. The trees were VERY tall, which created a nice, cool shade. There were four wooden benches in a circle, and a flowing river off to the left. The sound of the water flowing gave the area a gentle, peaceful calming feel. Maybe I can come here and read sometime? ...No. If they know about this area, then I'm sure this is a place they visit. I don't want to get caught by them here, even if they haven't done anything to me yet. Still though... I really like this place. I'm very fond of the idea of sitting on one of these benches and reading a book.

"Isn't it beautiful Nightmare?!"

Dream said; his eyes starry as he looked at me with a huge grin and his fists clenched and tucked into his chest with his elbows sticking out; a gesture of excitement.

I chuckled at his enthusiasm.

"It sure is."

I said with a closed-eye smile.

The sound of someone clearing their throat caught my attention.

Dream and I both averted our attention to Aiden.

"So, today I brought you all here to play some games!"

Dream whooped, and the others cheered. As for me...? I stayed silent.

I could hear the dark malice behind his voice.

"So what game is first?"

Lilith asked; her flames sparking with curiosity.

Aiden tapped his chin in thought. Suddenly, a large grin spread across his face. Uh oh. I don't like that.

"We're going to play...

TRUTH OR DARE!"

A feeling of dread washes over me.

I can feel my bones silently rattle with fear. Dream is too excited to feel my fear-struck aura. The voices of everyone around me fades into a dull buzz.

Why did I even agree to come...?!

Please... please just let me be okay. Please don't let anything bad happen to me...
