An understanding

                    Part 5    

PERCYS POV

Okay I have to admit…Fighting a wizard and trying to save two of my best friends is pretty hard. While all the time Annabeth my girlfriend is being held hostage in the side-lines. I was really starting to get sick of this! Luckily they had forgotten about blackjack and at the moment he was on his way back to camp to inform Chiron what is happening.

He suddenly screams out more spells but being awesome with a sword (yup I rule!) I use Riptide like a shield and the spells bounce off the Celtic bronze. He looks startled when this happens and then it turns to annoyance when I click my watch and a real shield appears.

I poised my sword and ran full force at him.

‘protego’ He screams.

I’m suddenly flung back against a tree with such force my teeth seem to rattle. I start to stand but my view is suddenly filled with black spots, I shake my head and they disappear.

‘That all you got?’ I say in an annoying. (Or so I’m told by Annabeth) Cocky confident voice.

I run at him again this time easily blocking his spells. Suddenly I was thrown to my knees my breathing hard. I look to the lake. A giant squid under the water was squeezing the bubble my friends where in. I don’t know how much longer I could do this…..

ANNABETHS POV

‘No Percy! NO’ I stared in  disbelief as Percy seemed to collapse in front of the supposedly Harry. I see him turn his head to the direction of the pond and already I know something is wrong.

I struggled with all my mite but to prevail. They were both strong seventeen/eighteen ( not really sure which) year olds.

Finally I lost it. Seeing Percy hurt and seeing harry smirk. Using all my strength I judo flipped both of them and ran head first into the Lake.

‘Annabeth’ I hear Percy faintly scream.

I dive deep down and I see the squid. I stifle a scream and swim on praying to Poseidon for help.

PERCY POV

‘Annabeth NO!’ I scream as I watch her probably dive for her doom. I try to stand but I can’t I’m just t weak.

Instead I end up on the floor paralysed in pain.

I look up at the boy.

‘Please help her’

Next thing I know I’m unconscious.

HARRY POV

I watched as he collapsed. His girlfriend jumping to her doom and I knew I had to help her. I saw the pain and loss in his eyes.

He needs help, I’m not evil, and I’m not voldemort. They need help, I’ll help them.

Without a word I jumped into the lake.

I muttered a quick spell and I could breathe.

I found his girlfriend Annabeth and did the same to her. At first she seems surprised. But then she nodded her head in a knowing way and we began to swim towards the Squid.

I watched her closely her skill with her dagger was incredible. I knew if she hadn’t been held back by Ron and Hermione I would have been dead.

I watched as her dagger hit a weak point and the whole squid turned to dust. I swam towards nico and carried him up. I saw Annaberh doing the same with Jason.
