She waits for you
to call and speak her name
hear the way only you
make heaven pulse through her
when you say goodnight before goodbye
But she expected no more
because she was tired of trying
for someone who cared less
And yet somehow you continue to surprise her
make her doubts disappear
show her that life shines approvingly
and it'll all be all right.
