Nobody knows exactly
nor can they or myself explain the truth
behind your actions
We are unresolved because of this
yet all there lives now inside is peace
Because before you everything
was a constant reminder of pain
a dim light with a sinking tunnel
Everyday a little duller
even in the continuing bright hot summers
But you eased the effects
and in time my heart yearned for no other
leaving loss and welcoming hope instead
And though you've become less in your presence
my feelings have grown deeper
so this peace inside
is a gifted assurance
to possibilities beyond silent moments.
