ĐĘŠŤĮŃŸ VIII

That night,(Y/n) can't sleep.Recalling her conversation with the Kiri kunoichi,she tossed and turn on her bed.

"Do you really think we killed your father just for fun?" Their hostage laughed,"Although your mother is a good puppet,your father is the best pawn we ever had"

(Y/n) can't contain her anger anymore and slapped her across the face.Instead of pained expression, she received laughs,"Now you can't do anything but to slap a defenseless hostage?" She mocked her with the tone of her voice.

(Y/n) then sighed,putting her forearm above her closed eyes,What the hell is the reason behind your death,mom,dad?

She snapped out of her thoughts when she heard scratching on her window.She moved her curtains to see one of her falcon.The falcon she always leave in Gaara's care everytime she leave Suna.

She then opened her window and let him in."What's the matter Shi?" He patted him.The bird caw and showed his leg,a small scroll attached ot it.She took it and opened the mini scroll.

'Come home ASAP' it read.She wondered what's wrong as she wrote a letter herself. 'What's the matter Gaara?' She attached the paper on her falcon and sent it back to Suna.

She sighed as she fixed her blanket and turned to look for a comfortable sleeping position,her thoughts wondering to a certain brunette with a pale lavander orbs,I wonder what he's up to this hour?

She shook her head to get rid of him, What's wrong with me?! Why am I thinking about that guy?

She turned to her side,What does he think of me?

Oh my ghad! Why am I acting like a lovesick teenager?! I'm 27 for pete's sake! She sat up and ran her hand on her hair.

She sighed and looked out of her window, Is it because he's my first so he felt responsible?

She laid down on her bed and hid on her blanket,Why do I care anyway,it's not like he'd be catching me if ever I fall.

The next day she was woken up by chirping birds outside her window.She looked at the clock above her door,it read 7:14.

She slipped off of the covers and did her morning routines before going down stairs.

"Morning Temari-chan~" She greeted her cousin,finding her in the kitchen alone.Eh? The father and son left early she thought.

"Morning." Her cousin greeted back,"Shikamaru told me you visited the Kiri rouge yesterday."

(Y/n) getting the hint,she explained,"Yeah.I thought I could get some information to make this mission easier,not expecting her to bring up something in the past." She chuckled bitterly.

Temari looked at her as guilt swam in her eyes,immediately knowing what she meant.(Y/n) noticing this,she laughed dryly as she took a sip from the glass of water she got from the fridge a while ago,"Temari-chan~" She hummed,"It's not Suna's fault ." She assured her."It's a self defence okay?So it's alright." She comforted her.

Temari looked away,avoiding her cousin's pained smiling face,"You're telling me that even if it's not." She murmured to herself.Aware of the pain her cousin is in now and sighed.

"Oh yeah!" Temari grinned at (Y/n) as she remembered something,"Shikadai is asking if her nee-chan is dating a certain brunette." She wiggled her eyebrows playfully at her cousin who is now a blushing mess,"Although I don't get it why you insist on him calling you Onee-chan when you're supposed to be his Obachan."

"Of-of course no!" She shoke her head which Temari giggled at before raising her head,noticing a falcon on the kitchen's window sill.

Recognizing the bird as her cousin's falcon she always leave in Gaara's care,"Isn't that Shi?" She looked at (Y/n) in wonder.

The lather realizing this,nodded as she approached the falcon and opened the letter on it's leg.

'The elders' was the words scribbled on it.She sighed and looked at her cousin.

"It's Gaara.Yesterday night he sent me a letter,he want me back home as soon as possible and when I asked him why,this is what he said." She explained to her as she showed her the letter,giving Shi a treat before letting him go wherever he wishes.

"Those old geezers," Temari rolled her eyes,"Can't they just rest and let Gaara handle most of Suna's affairs,he's the Kazekage for a reason."

(Y/n) chuckled at Temari's remarks,remembering Temari's desdain towards Suna's elders.

"Mrs. Nara,Ms.(l/n). Hokage-sama is asking for your presences." An Anbu suddenly appeared by the window,informing the two they are being summoned.They looked at each other and nodded at the Anbu who disappeared in a flash

"You summoned Naruto-kun?" (Y/n) entered followed by Temari inside the Hokage office.

"Ah yes (Y/n)-chan.Well,Shikamaru and Neji found a lead regarding your mission and a letter came from Suna that they needed you back." Naruto then passed a scroll to (Y/n) who read the content of it with Temari."So,I think you should go back first and check on your village."

After they've read the content,(Y/n) nodded her head,it must be important,a private message followed by a business scroll is something serious. She thought.

Just then,the door of the Hokage's office opened to reveal Shikamaru who's holding files and Neji behind him.

"These are the info we collected about the names we found in Li Kaguya's memories using Yamanaka's mind jutsu." Shikamaru then putted the files above Naruto's desk.

"(Y/n)-chan,could you please look at these and tell us if you recognize anyone?" Naruto picked up the files and held it infront of him for her to take.

She nodded before scanning the names inside a brown folder before stopping on a certain bio.On top of it,it reads 'Taketeru Yuu' and when she lifted it, she looked more baffled.A second guy's name greeted her sight.

What's their connection with each other? She stopped there and looked at it longer than needed,planting curiosity in the system of the ninjas in the room with her.

"(Y/n),is there something wrong?" Temari placed her hands on her cousin's shoulders,snapping her out of her trance.

"This," She placed the first piece of paper on top of the Hokage's table,"Is my uncle."
