ĐĘŠŤĮŃŸ XI

Two days had gone by in a blink of an eye.(Y/n) finally reached Sunagakure with the help of the Thunder Train.

The Thunder Rail is a train network for the Kaminarimon Company's Thunder Trains. Around ten years after the Fourth Shinobi World War,it was installed in Konohagakure. It stretches to other countries such as the Land of Earth and Wind, the former which takes days to get to by Thunder Train.

Shinki was already standing before the gates of Sunagakure's train station,ready to meet his adoptive aunt.

She smiled at him and waved even though she knew Shinki wouldn't wave back at her.

In a couple of seconds,she reached Shinki and gave him a hug much to her adoptive nephew's liking.

"Say,Shinki-kun," (Y/n) looked at her adoptive nephew,attempting to tease him,"do you already got yourself a girlfriend while I'm away?" She continued but as usual she was met by moment of silence.

"It's just a couple of days,neechan." He mumbled,"It's too soon." He answered with his usual monotonous voice.

Instead of being offended like others would towards Shinki's lack of emotions,she laughed at how awkward her adoptive nephew towards her everytime she teases him.

Since he was raised by Gaara, Shinki is described as the calm and collected leader-like figure of his team and despite his young age,he has the seriousness of an adult which is why (Y/n) never took offence towards Shinki's bluntness and sometimes emotionless facade.

They finally reached Gaara's office with a couple of turn and twist around the streets of the village.

As soon as the door was in her reach,she turned the knob and entered the office.

She never bothered knocking because she was used to just barging inn and another is Gaara don't mind at all one bit.

"So what's the matter Gaara?" She asked her cousin without even greeting him.

Gaara looked up before sighing,"It's better if the elders would be the one informing you."

Gaara clasped his hands together and rested it above his desk,"How was Konoha?" a little trail of excitement can be distinguished in his voice which made (Y/n) smile.

Knowing her cousin,it's probably his first friend from Konoha village he really wanted to hear news from.

"Well," she tapped her lips as she looked at him,"He's doing great.He did take care of me in my stay at Konoha." She then smiled at him.

Gaara is quite happy Naruto treated his family his own.Like for example,Temari who moved to his village,he accepted her with a warm heart.

A knock rose outside the door,getting their attentions.Kankuro came in with an irritated face.

"Hey there Kankuro!" (y/n) cheerfully greeted,"Why the long face?Did your crush rejected you again?" She teased which only Kankuro gave an uninterested look in return.

"The elders are calling for a meeting." He informed Gaara,"And you. Are also needed." He then looked at (Y/n) with such aggression.

(y/n) only brushed it aside before patting Shinki's head,much to his disdain,"Well then,see you around Shinki. And yeah,before I forget," She rummaged inside her ninja pouch to look for a scroll.

"Here's a scroll I got along the way." She winked at Shinki after giving him a scroll,saying it in such a casual way as if the scroll is just an ordinary file full of normal techniques,but in fact,it's a forbidden scroll she got along the way.

(Y/n) gave him the scroll in belief of his ability and raw talent.He is also noted to possess extraordinary chakra,allowing him to be able to perform a myriad of advanced techniques without showing visible exhaustion.So with this,his adoptive family believes that with such prowess,they need not to worry about Suna in the coming future.

She gave him a lopsided smile before leaving him inside the room with Gaara and Kankuro.

Not long after,they reached the meeting room with their village's elders already waiting for their arrival.

Tension wrapped the room with a deafening silence as if they are facing a really serious matter.(Y/n) keep on shifting on her seat,not finding any comfort with the stares she's been receiving from all the elders.

Ikanago faked a cough to get all their attentions.Ikanago is one of the village's elders who is very interested in the Kazekage's lineage, fearfully thinking that if Kankuro and Gaara were not to have any children, then Nara Shikadai would become the only remaining member of the bloodline and "worse", lost to Konohagakure.

"Now that everyone is present," He started,"let's all get down to business."

"As we all know,we had once accepted a peace treaty through arrange marriage with one of the families in the Land of Wind,but unfortunately,it was broken due to their attack," Ikanago looked at Gaara while (Y/n) rose a brow at this,wondering why the heck is he bringing a past event.Unknowingly,this is the start of a conversation she will deeply despise.

"(Y/n),what level are you in by your medical jutsu?" He then looked at (Y/n) who by now,can't contain her wonder anymore."Where is this conversation going at?" instead of answering her elders,she shot back a question of her own.

"It's not like everyday you would call for an important meeting just to know how far I reached with my medical jutsu right?"She leaned at the table as she heard Gaara sigh on her left side,"Why don't we just cut the chase and get straight to the point?By now I could be doing something important but instead I am sitting here being asked with stupid questions." she continued.

Displeasure was visible on the faces of the elders infront of her but they kept their thoughts to themselves instead of starting an even longer argument in the room.

"Well then," Goza,one of the seniors of Suna who's foremost concern was the dignity of the village,clasped his hand together before putting it above the table as he leaned in,looking directly at (Y/n)'s direction," The Arino offered a political marriage.(Y/n)(L/n),you would be married off to their successor."
