8 pairs of eyes darted on the direction of the (h/c) haired girl,not expecting her to recognize someone her family personally knew.

Nobody knew her past except the basic that she is someone who came from a family who doesn't have any kekkei genkai or any special abilities to use on their advantage, her parents were killed when she was young,she is a cousin of the Sand siblings,and the fact that she is a former kunoichi of the village hidden in the mist before moving to the village hidden in the sand.

"Long story short," She added, "This guy is my father's best friend. The things I only knew about him is he's a ninja from the village hidden in the waterfalls,he is skilled in kenjutsu,taijutsu and ninjutsu.His weakness is genjutsu." She explained.

"But I doubt he's as skilled as before,this guy is two years older than my dad,so yeah.He's pretty old." She added.

"If you don't mind us asking,what's your dad's job back then?" Shikamaru asked beside her.

She looked at him,"He is someone who make high quality of weapons." she answered.

"My dad didn't became part of any rogue organizations before if that's what you're thinking." She calmly added.

"If he's from the village hidden in the waterfalls," Neji voiced out his question,"Then what is his connection to the village hidden in the mist? Why must mist ninjas work for him?"

Naruto then nodded thoughtfully,"You've got a point."

(Y/n) set the second piece of paper down,"Maybe because of this guy."
she said.

Temari peeped on it, 'Shinji Takota'. His name sounds familiar,she thought,Where did I hear that name before?

Temari then looked at (Y/n) but before she could tell her cousin she heard that name before,(Y/n) confirmed it immediately,"Yes Temari,this guy is the same guy that day."

Temari's eyes widen,"No way." she said. "What-what the hell is happening?!"

Shikamaru,Neji,and Naruto then looked at the two women,their curiosity is getting the best of them.

"What's the matter?" Naruto voiced out their thoughts,"Is there something we are supposed to know?"

Temari looked at him and back at (Y/n),"He's-he's one of the guys who hired assassins to kill Gaara when we were kids." she answered.

"Although Gaara killed the assasin," (Y/n) clenched her fist as she added information,"We didn't manage to find this guy."

"We wonder," Temari touched her chin in thought,"What happened to them? I mean,where were they during the war?" She added.

Neji raised another question,"And if it's been so long,how come they appeared only now?"

Shikamaru sighed as he rubbed his forehead,"What a drag.It looks like this is not just a simple organization of ninjas stealing some documents from every village's archives."

"Come to think of it," Neji said,"If this is just as simple as stealing important documents from every village,then how did a Kaguya became part of that organization?"

After hearing this,Naruto added another question,"And what's their point in leaving papers like this for every village to know they are the one's who did it?"

Everthing they knew about this mission became more and more complicated as time pass by.Questions got harder and harder to even assume for an answer.Each question is more complex than the previous one.But they all knew one thing, 'Their enemy is not simple'

Naruto sighed as he rubbed his forehead."Let's-Let's call this mission off first.We need to investigate this case carefully before doing something." He said.

Temari was about to object when (Y/n) stopped her,"There's no point in continuing this mission if our enemies are messing with our heads Temari." She said.

"But don't you want to know the reason behind that day?" Temari asked her cousin which she only shaked her head.

"There are things we better not know." She answered. She pretended not to care but she's dying to know the reason behind her parents death but she choosed to set aside her curiosity because-----

"You're scared," Temari voiced it out,"You're scared to know the truth (Y/n)! You're scared because it involves us! Aren't you?" By this time,Naruto had already stood up from his chair and Shikamaru is now beside his wife.

(Y/n) stood there,her head was hanged low,finding no words to answer Temari because it's true.What if my mother is not the someone I knew she was?Or my father is not the person I looked up to when I was a kid? or worst,what if the truth behind their death would drift me apart from my family? Her thoughts clouding her judgements as her cousin continued.

"Or is it because you don't trust us (Y/n)?" Temari is someone who wants others to rely on her more,and if slapping her cousin with the truth to help her,she would do it even if it hurts her,"Either you're scared or you don't ---"

"Enough!!" (Y/n) finally snapped.(Y/n) looked at her as tears started streaming down her face.

"I'm scared okay?!" She aggressively wiped her cheeks.

"Hey-hey,let's try to calm down first." Naruto tried to calm them down but his words fell to deaf ears.

"I'm scared! So what?!" (Y/n) continued,Neji tried to calm her down but she ignored him.

"If believing lies means not losing you guys then I would gladly believe the lies of the past rather than knowing the truth for the sake of my ghaddamn curiosity!" It pained her to shout at someone she respected to the point where she wanted to take all her words back and just apologize to her cousin for shouting at her.But right now,her emotions are getting the best of her.

"For Pete's sake Temari," she wiped her cheeks as she tried to calm down,"Please let's not let our emotions cloud our judgements."

"I already lost my family when I was younger and I would do anything to prevent that from happening ever again now that I found new ones." She continued as she sighed,wiping the last tear from her eyes.

"Now that Gaara needed me back,I should go now,I'll come back to help on this mission as soon as I can." She said as she finally calmed down,"Naruto,Shikamaru,Neji.....Temari.Until next time." She said as she nodded at Naruto who nodded back.

She grabbed the door knob but Neji stopped her,"Come back soon." He said before he could stop himself.(Y/n) smiled and patted his hand that held her arm, "Definitely." She assured.

After she left,there was a silence that engulf the whole room before Shikamaru sighed."What was that Temari?" He asked his wife.

Guilt was visible on her eyes,"It's just," she sighed,"I wanted to help her know the death behind her parents."

Neji looked at her questioningly,"I thought her father was killed by the Kaguya clan and her mother never returned from a mission." he said,"Or at least that's what she told me."

Temari sighed at this and revealed something in the past only her,her siblings,and Suna's higher officials knew.

"Her mom," she started,"Her mom was killed in front of her by someone she treasures."

They looked at her but Neji felt more than curiosity in him and asked her,"Who killed her mom?".

"Her mom was killed by," She clenched her hand and bowed her head,"-
