ĐĘŠŤĮŃŸ XVI

The following morning,Temari's turn was finally over,that was around 5 o'clock in the morning but still waked her teammates up.

Before the sun could even rise into the horizon,the four jonin was back on track,running at full speed to try to leave the borders of the Fire country by dawn.

"Not bad.." Temari pant as she wipe her sweat on her chins with the back of his fingerless gloves.They have reached the Bounty checkout pass noon.

"Y-yeah." (Y/n) was also panting heavily for pushing her speed limit a little for an hour or so.

Neji was hiding his exhaustion pretty well while Shikamaru on the other hand was panting with his hands on both knees but much better from the condition of the girls on their team.

"Why...aren't..you..tired?" (Y/n) asked as she looked at Neji between
her panting.

"If you're team with Lee and Gai-sensei you'd get used to running." Neji calmly answered,remembering the times they have to chase after their sensei and Lee.

Shikamaru looked around before lighting a cigarette,"This place sure bring back lots of memories."

Temari looked at him for a moment before standing straight "We'll continue after a short break." she said.

(Y/n) also stood up straight and nodded as Shikamaru shake his head while holding it and muttering to himself,"Man,what a drag."

They sat at the stairs of the bounty checkpoint together as they chunk their water.

"We could reach the borders of the Tea Country by dawn right?" (Y/n) wondered as she looked at the moving clouds above them.

"Mh." Neji answered her with a nod,"But I suggest we enter the Tea Country tomorrow."

"Hm?" (Y/n)'s attention turned towards him,"Why?"

"So we could prepare our next plan." Shikamaru answered in his stead as Neji nodded with agreement.

"Alright." Temari then stood up and stretched,"We should keep going if we want to camp near the borders before the sky turn completely dark."

But before they could even take off,ninjas carying a dead body showed up by the other end of the road,blocking their way.

"Well well well,if it isn't ninjas from Konoha." One of the tugs with a big machete showed his weapon as he looked at them.There were five of them including the body they were carrying.

The tug who seems to be the leader of the small group nodded at his companion who was carrying the body."Put that down." he said "We'd be capturing for more bodies." he cockily licked his lips as they faced Shikamaru and his team.

Shikamaru looked at them for a moment before sighing,"What a pain." he murmured but readied his kunai anyway.

As Temari put her fan om the ground,she moved closer right beside (Y/n),Neji and Shikamaru doing the same.

"Since you're the only medic on our team," Temari looked at (Y/n) with a smile,"we'll try not to exhaust you okay?" she continued as she sweetly smile.

The team of tugs made the first move as they started charging towards Shikamaru and the others.

"DIE!" the tug that seems to be the leader of the small group swang his machete at them with a battle cry.

Neji,being the nearest among them,sent him flying with a gentle fist.

"Gah-!" the tug leader met the ground with a powerful thud before sliding a few fet away from his group.

His teammates stared wide eyed at him "Boss!!" they yelled simultaneously as their boss stood up from the ground.

"Come at me if you wish to continue." Neji actives his byakugan as he fix his usual stant.

"You will pay for this!" One tug charges towards him as he also readied his weapon.But this time,all his team mates followed suit, simultaneously doing a hand sign.

"Katon:Goukakyuu No Jutsu! " they raised their pointer and middle finger in front of their lips as they execute the jutsu.A massive sphere shaped fireball shoot through their mouths and into Shikamaru's team.

"Cha!" Temari opened her fan and sent them flying away from their teams while dismissing their jutsus.

"Is that all you've got?" Temari taunt them with an annoying smirk,"This is boring,I thought it would be more of a fight." she continued.

She raised her fan into the air "It's over." she was about to end her opponents right infront of her when,

"Damn it!" she cursed as she leaped backwards,closer to her team mates.

Clouds of dust was formed infront of where she stood a couple of seconds ago.

"Temari-chan." (Y/n) worriedly call out for her as she place a worried hand on top of her shoulders.

"You alright?" Shikamaru also asked her. She turned towards (Y/n) and on Shikamaru who was squatting on the ground before facing the smoke once again.

"I'm fine." She answered as she squinted her eyes to see what caused the cloud of dust to erupt.

"You really are a bunch of losers." An unknown girl stood infront of the tugs.

"Oh?" A new voice gained their attention,"What do we have here? A bunch of shinobis from the leaf." a guy came closer to the girl with a huge sword on hand all the while looking down on the Leaf ninjas.

"He-help us please." the boss of the gang came crawling by their feet.

"You're really a piece of trash." the boy kicked him away from them,"I wonder why Leader still keeps bunch of retards like you." the girl continued.

"Sorry about that." the girl cockily looked at Temari,"Up for a real fight honey?" she put her hand on his waist and trued to annoy Temari with her attitude.

On the other hand,Temari gritted her teeth,"I would love to wipe that smug look on your face." she spatt word by word.

"Then let's begin." The girl laughed and charged towards Temari as she leaped backwards to make a space between her and her team mates.

Neji was walking towards the group of tugs to deal with them and the other guy was about to rush towards him when Shikamaru stopped the guy with his shadow technique,"Your opponent is here." he smirked and lead them away from the others.

All of them engaged in combats aside from (Y/n) so she decided to help Temari as not to be seen as a damsel in distress.

She was about to wave the hand signs
to summon her katana when a tiny rope attached itself on her hands and yanked her back.

As she was caught off guard,the force from the pull sent her on the ground.

She immediately raised her head when she heard someone laugh above her.

Her eyes widen in recognition as she murmured the man's name on his late 60's and early 70's.

"Shinji Takota."
