Part 13

All 4 of them were sitting around the living room playing UNO laughing. Nat was laughing at how Sarah and Steve were acting so much alike with matching frowns and puppy dog eyes because they were both losing. Sarah was a carbon copy of Nat with fiery red hair but her stunning blue eyes were all Steve's. James was a miniature copy of Steve with Nat's striking green eyes. 2 hours passed and they stopped playing UNO and started playing Monopoly because Sarah and Steve said "This is not fair you and mommy are cheating!" Nat started feeling bad and whispered to James "let daddy and Sarah win they'll be really sad if they lose again." James being the sweetheart he is said "Ok mommy I don't want Sarah and daddy to be sad."
Playing UNO turned into playing Monopoly and playing Monopoly turned into watching movies while cuddling on the couch. Before they knew it night came and the two kids were asleep cuddling their parents. "I think we should bring them to bed" Steve suggested to Nat. "Alright I'll get James you get Sarah" Nat said to which Steve nodded. After they got the kids to bed they went back downstairs. "I better get going Nat it's getting really late" Steve said not wanting to be kicked out by Nat again. "It's alright you can stay here" Nat said surprising Steve. "I thought you did not want to give the kids 'false hopes' with us sleeping in the same bed" Steve said. "I meant to stay here as in on the couch" Nat explained feeling a bit bad with the hurt look on Steve's face.
"Oh ok I'll get what I can get" Steve said with a small smile. "Alright good night Steve" Nat said on the way to the stairs. "You wanna watch another movie just to make us more sleepy?" Steve asked hopefully. "Sure" Nat said a bit hesitantly. They sat on the couch with space in between them both knowing if they got to close it would lead to something more. Halfway through the movie Nat started getting sleepy and unconsciously leaning on Steve's shoulder. Steve relishing in the way Nat was leaning on him put an arm around her and brought her closer. The next morning Steve woke up first with Nat practically on top of him cuddling him like a teddy bear. He gently kissed her forehead and carried her upstairs. He put her on the bed but Nat held onto him and whispered "Stay" so lowly Steve barely heard her.
