This is a picture of Rosa.

"If you don't see the book you want on the shelf, write it."

I woke up early today to go to the library and walk a little bit around the city. With music in my ears and an empty back waiting to be filled with books.

I opened the big door and was amazed.

I smelled the scent of paper and ink immediately.

And saw thousands of books.

In the middle of the library were seats and sofas.

I am in love.

I heard some footsteps.

"Oh, no another one!" A woman cried out.

She was a middle-aged woman with twists in her hair and glasses on. She was wearing a dress with flowers.

"You're here for the free WIFI, aren't you?" The woman asked.

"Of course not. Look at this place! I'm in heaven." I said while I was still looking with big eyes at all the books.

"My name is Rosa and I'm the librarian. I'm sorry I scared you but this library is beautiful and the only reason most people walk in is for the free WIFI or to use the bathroom."

"I understand, my name is Dounia. I just moved here and now I'm moving again. I will text my mother so she will know what my new address is."

"You're more than welcome, Dounia. I can use some company. Enough talking, go explore!"

There were so many to choose from. So I made a list on my phone. Because I didn't want to give Rosa extra work.

"I can already tell I really like you by the books you're choosing." Rosa said.

Rosa is a very kind and smart woman. We were discussing books that we have read until my phone rang.

"Hello, with Dounia."

"Dounia, I thought you were coming back in half an hour. You are gone for more than three hours and then you send me a text saying that you have found a new home. Are you crazy? Get your ass back here within 30 minutes." I heard my mom saying in a voice that scared me.

She didn't even let me react, she just hung up.

I forgot the time.

I saw Rosa looking at me with fear in her eyes.

"You're dead. I didn't even understand her because she was speaking Arabic. But I know you're dead."

"Can I stay with you, please? We can be so happy. You, me and thousands of books." I asked while I was showing her my puppy eyes. I learned it from Mohammed.

"No, darling. We can't but you can come back as many times as you want."

"Alright, can I take these books with me. Then I will be back in a few days if I'm not dead. If I don't come back here is my address and ask one of my brothers to give you the books back."
She was laughing so hard that her body was shaking.

I really don't understand why you would laugh at a situation like this.

There are some heartless people in this world.

I filled my bag with books and held a few in my hands because the bag was full. I knew I had to bring a bigger bag.

I waved at her and left the library.

My phone was ringing again.

It was my mother.

"Hello, my amazing mother. What can I do for you?"

"I'm looking out of the window and I still can't see you." The dangerous woman said.

"I'm a few blocks away." I lied.

"Turn around and get me some things in the supermarket. I will send you a list. And don't buy the most expensive brands like last time." She said.

"Okay, mother. See you later." I hung up.

Luckily the supermarket was a few blocks away from the library.

I put on my headphone and walked to the store.

It was a normal grocery store. My mother always gives me money because I do a lot of the grocery shopping.

I had so much stuff. Books in my hands, grocery bags and a backpack.

I was looking at the receipt until I fell on the floor.

"I'm so sorry. Let me help you." A voice said.
