On the left you see a picture of Keke and on the right you see a picture of Yin.

We should always have three friends in our lives-one who walks ahead who we look up to and follow; one who walks beside us, who is with us every step of our journey; and then, one who we reach back for and bring along after we've cleared the way.

When my brothers came home, we had dinner and we talked about our days.

Mo talked about Thomas and his new teacher.

Ayoub talked about his basketball team and that they were impressed with his speed and shooting technique.

Soufiane talked about how he attacked Ilias at practice.

And I talked about Mrs. Davis.

I know I should tell my mother what happened. But she can't do anything about it.

Even the damn principal is racist.

Wherever I would go, I would get racist comments it doesn't matter where I'm. So why should I make my mother upset, she has enough problems.

After dinner we watched a movie but after a while Mohammed fell a sleep on the couch, so I picked him up and put him in his bed.

I got in my bed and read my book for a few hours.

When I finished it, I put it on my bedside table and started thinking about what happened this day.

It was an awful day.

That day I cried myself to sleep.

...

In my dream I was swimming in the ocean. I knew I was dreaming because I would never swim in an ocean without being scared for a shark attack.

Suddenly I felt cold water and jumped out of my super comfortable bed. Of course I saw my stupid brothers bursting into laughter. They were already dressed and standing next to my door, ready to run. I saw that my favorite brother was still sleeping in his bed.

I ran behind them with my book in my hands. They ran to momma.

"Dounia, go change! Why are you running around all wet?" She said, not noticing that those idiots were giving each other a high five.

I gave them one last look that meant: I will get you back and I will be patient. You won't expect it, but it will come.

I got ready in the bathroom and changed my clothes. I don't spend a lot of time with getting ready. I get ready in like 10 minutes.

I chose to wear my black high top Converse, jeans, a white shirt, a blue flannel jacket and a beige hijab.
