Xoxo,
Enjoy!
-Taehyung always found it annoying when people didn't listen. He held grudges against the ones who never listened to others ideas because they were so certain of their own. But he guessed arrogance is bliss to some.
Although, despite his utter dislike for such people's behavior, he had to sit calmly in a room full of the pricks. Sit sedately and listen to close-minded men talk about politics, with no regard for what is true in the media or not. Of course, everyone has their opinion. But not all opinions are correct. Theirs being that exact thing.
So far it had been tolerable, but the longer it went on, the harder it got for Taehyung not to roll his eyes. But he couldn't. Not now.
This countries politics are going to shit. Taehyung thought as he wrote down random notes, knowing he had to look busy. Like he was listening. Though, the sour voices of the individuals in the room proved difficult to pay attention to.
"What do you think, your Highness?" Taehyung's Father's voice spoke out, catching his Son's attention. Shit, this was bad.
The one time I don't listen! Taehyung mentally groaned. He looked up from his notes, putting his arm over the paper of rambles that had practically nothing to do with the subject of the meeting. All eyes were on him now, and as much as he was starting to panic inside, he kept his composure. His perfect persona always so strong.
"Well," He started, getting ready to bullshit his way through this. He knew he couldn't just give a halfassed answer because his Father would know he was lying. So like every political leader, he had to come up with some good bullshit, just well enough put together that they believed it. He had watched his Father do it many times. "as I see it, we are all to blame for the problems in our government. If we really look at it from a larger start point, we all take part in the decisions made. We all have the power to stop things from being put out, but we let it happen."
It was quite, eerily quiet. Taehyung's heart beat picked up, the organ pounding against his ribcage, despite him keeping his breathing steady.
"He's right." One man agreed, a younger man, though probably a few years older than Taehyung himself, most likely a son of one of the office leaders.
Taehyung nodded calmly, albite almost gasping with relief. He glanced to Jeongguk standing diagonally behind him. He almost smiled at the way he could tell Jeongguk was trying not to laugh. Laugh at him to be more specific.
That fucker. Taehyung thought playfully. He couldn't wait to get back to the palace and be able to rant to him, laugh with him about how halfwitted these men are.
"How could we have a part in such things when we didn't make the choices." A man of a awkwardly dark stature spoke up. Taehyung looked at him and thought of his next words wisely. Men nodded along with the man who spoke, making Taehyung want to roll his eyes.
How prideful could people be?
"But don't you agree that we are all should take blame for the actions of our country?" Taehyung stated, confident and sure now, because this was a subject he had thought about often.
"Isn't it your country—or I suppose it really isn't yours yet." Another man told, mocking in his tone.
Oh that was low. A low blow to Taehyung specifically. What? Did he think he wasn't qualified to be here because he wasn't King? Was that it?
