[Unedited... I don't have time to edit rn]Taehyung didn't want to get out of bed. After what happened between him and Jeongguk, he lost motivation. For everything. He lost his appetite, his will to do work, motivation to do basic hygiene.. it was like when he was thirteen all over again. Except this time, he didn't have the person who helped him through that then.
The person who he cared about the most. The only person he wanted in his life.
He had done a lot of thinking in the all too early hours of the morning. He thought about how he would be utterly content with living somewhere completely secluded with Jeongguk. Just the two of them.
He wondered how Jeongguk was doing—if he was okay.. seeing as Taehyung had secluded himself, he hadn't seen Jeongguk at all. Mostly other guards coming to stand by his door and all.
But never Jeongguk.
Taehyung had been forcing himself to get up, but when he was in his office—he just sat there. He hadn't got any work done in four days. And that was a lot of time to not be doing anything as King.
He felt like a failure.
Jeongguk on the other hand was in fact not okay. He was overworking himself, and although it pained him deeply, he completely avoided Taehyung. He made up excuses for sending the other Gaurds to tend to Taehyung's office and all.
He decided on sending Dohwan to be in charge of tending to Taehyung. Like a replacement almost..
Maybe it was childish of him to be avoiding Taehyung, but what else was he supposed to do? Be around him and act like he didn't want to break down when he saw him? Act like he didn't feel like he was dying every time he thought of his best friend being with someone else? Like he was the same old Jeongguk?
He couldn't do that. He didn't have the strength.
Besides, he didn't think that he could hide it anyways. Taehyung would know, and that wouldn't be good for either of them.
Maybe being apart was better for them. Maybe it was always supposed to end like this...

"Your Majesty, I would like to go over the plans for the wedding with you." Taehyung's secretary / planner addressed him five mornings after the incident. The King looked up at her, coldly.. emotionless.
"Alright." He hummed, sitting back in his chair. "Go on then."
She nodded, looking down at her iPad that held her notes and schedules. "Well, as you know the wedding is two days from today, and invitations have already been sent. We have revived the RSVP's, so you'll be glad to know everything is going smoothly on that part."
"The palace decorations ordered from Seoul are being prepared as we speak, Lady Sayna's dress and personal items she asked for have been given to her, and she is pleased with it all. Your suit and personal items have already arrived today, and have be taken to your chambers accordingly. Everything is set for the wedding as of late, but is there anything you would like to request, My Liege?" She finished, looking up at him now, glasses balanced on the middle of the bridge of her nose.
Taehyung licked his lips, spacing out, looking past her. Everything still felt like it was going so fast.. he couldn't believe it.
"Hello? Your Majesty?" The girl tried getting his attention, Taehyung snapping out of his thought and focusing on her.
