Ignoring the world is always nice.

Also!! This chapter is half made up of the trailer I put out for it. The garden scene if you read the au teaser I posted for it. But it's edited to fit where we are in the story :)

Xoxo,
Enjoy!

[Messy and Unedited...]

A mere week after the celebration, Taehyung takes his morning stroll in the royal gardens. He did walks along the pathways of the garden, observing the pretty scenery that belonged to him and his family. Beautiful flowers with pedals of pink, red, blue, yellow and more decorated the controlled vegetation. A warm golden glow of sun shines over the garden, the time being post dawn.

It was quite, with the exception of the song of the morning birds that livened up the peaceful atmosphere.

The morning was one of his highness' only times to take in a bit of silence. Otherwise, he would be attending his father to court events and other royal obligations. Most of which he disliked attending. But no one had to know that specific fact—no one but Jeongguk of course.

Though, as mentioned before, Taehyung takes these walks because it was his escape. Where he had time to think, take a breath of fresh air. He did enjoy being around Jeongguk very much, but having time to himself was crucial.

The Prince's hands were laced together behind his back, his posture perfect and eyes studying the things around him. He enjoyed the outdoors, it giving him peace to be here. But as all enjoyable things do, it had to come to an end.

Today's stroll came to an end when Jeongguk practically appeared beside him. Stealthy and swift. Although, by now, Taehyung had gotten quite used to the boy doing so, and only stayed calm with his eyes still observing the garden life as he walked passed it.

"Your highness." Jeongguk spoke out respectfully.

"Yes, Jeongguk?" The Prince replied smoothly, fingers of his right hand now ghosting over the peddles of the flowers.

"His majesty, the King, requests your presence." Jeongguk informed, his posture strong, voice level. He knew he was telling his superior that he had to attend to something he most likely didn't want to. But he had orders and whether he liked it or not, he had to follow them.

He knew Taehyung loved his life, but found it inconvenient at times to quit his personally activities and have to be a responsible adult at the still young age of eighteen.

A small, barely audible sigh came from Taehyung. "Ah yes. Did he give you the subject of my calling?" He asked, now looking at his guard.

Jeongguk shook his head, "No, Sire." He looked around them, observing that there was no one around before leaning in close to Taehyung's ear, "But just between you and I," He whispered, "I heard that his majesty wants to talk to you about engagement." He leaned away, a sliver of a smirk on his face—though, it was barely visible.

"Aish," Taehyung sighed, closing his eyes for a moment and stopping in his tracks. "Very well then," He opened his eyes and looked at Jeongguk. "let us go." He spoke, his voice regaining its strength to be confident and sure—despite disliking the idea deep down.

Taehyung knew what his Father was getting at. And he didn't want to be a part of it. But deal with it he must.

"As you wish." Jeongguk bowed softly, walking with the Prince back to the palace. The talk was small on their way there, but a comfortable atmosphere nonetheless. It was always comfortable between the two.

Taehyung entered his father's office when he was told to, and greeted him with a smile. "Father. Pleasant morning to you." He spoke.

"My son," The King smiled widely, "Such a nice sight to see in the morning." Oh so cheery as always. Taehyung stood a few feet away from his Fathers desk, Jeongguk standing aside the doors, like always.
