You'd think he would be excited to plan an event being thrown just for him. Many would enjoy doing such a thing very much. So why didn't Taehyung enjoy it? Well that's a hard question to answer, really. There were so many reasons, yet he knew none of them. Each one as vague as the last, giving him no sort of clarification on his feelings.

The fact that Taehyung didn't know ached at the back of his mind. Like an itch he couldn't reach, annoying and distracting. But he ignored it, hoping that ignoring it would make the feeling go away.

You can guess how that was going for him.

Although, despite the weird but soft twist of his stomach, he still sat in his office, looking over different decor arrangements. As well as color schemes and other "party", or so to say, assortments.

He didn't think it was that he didn't like planning things—because he knew he did. But he didn't know the root of why he disliked the idea of this whole celebration. This celebration in particular.

Maybe it was that it was only because of his coronation—which would have its own after party. Or that he would have to spend a solid five hours talking to many new people who, had a common factor of being snobby. People who only showed up because they had a chance of talking to thee Prince of Choseon.

Honestly, he didn't see what was so special about him other then being the future leader of their country. They acted like he wasn't a human. More of a rare specimen of some kind. Looking at him like he was a piece of art in a museum.

Taehyung wondered if anyone actually saw him as a human. Someone with struggles and emotions, instead of some strong, fretless leader that feared nothing. He assumed not, by the way they looked, talked, and overall treated him.

The only people who treated like somewhat of a human were his family. Other then that, Jeongguk was a large factor as well. Taehyung knew that other then having to protect him from things—because it was his job—he still treated him like a human.

He didn't look at Taehyung like he was some prize he was determined to win. Like a untouchable being. Because in all reality, Jeongguk could touch him. He could talk to him, and they could be normal.

Taehyung assumed that was because Jeongguk knew him before he was really affected by the Princeship he was crowned. He knew him before he started taking adult responsibilities.

Jeongguk knew him when they were kids. When Taehyung didn't have to worry about politics, or putting up a certain image, because if he didn't he would be considered a disgrace.

They knew each other when they giggled freely and played in leaf piles. When their squeaky child laugher filled Taehyung's room every night. When they held hands as they ran around in the gardens with careless smiles on their faces.

Taehyung missed those times. As much as he enjoyed his life currently, the times he spent with Jeongguk as a child were the best. And he would forever hold those memories dear to his heart.

A couple knocks being sounded on Taehyung's door snapped him out of his thoughts. His focus was slapped back to what he had been doing before getting lost in his thoughts.

He looked at the door and cleared his throat, fixing his posture. "Enter." He said once he was composed once more.

Jeongguk opened the door, stepping in and making eye contact with the Prince, "Your secretary, Lady Sung Jaenoe is here to speak to you about the invitations for the celebration." He informed, "Is this a good time?" He asked.
