As soon as Arthit hums and stirs from his bed, the strong scent of ginger hits his nose. He tries sitting up but the loud pounding in his head pulls him back on the comforts of his bed, his throat is parched and his whole mouth unsurprisingly tastes like a rusty copper.
Within seconds, Irish is already sitting on his bed thrusting a freshly made ginger tea onto his face. Arthit merely raises his eyebrow and beckons Irish to place it on the bedside table while he succumbs to a painful death.
"You're awake, finally."
Arthit's sure Irish is not shouting at him but her voice sounds extremely annoying and extra high-pitched this morning he has to cover his ears.
Arthit rolls his eyes. "Unfortunately."
"You look like you were having so much fun with Kongpob last night... In fact, I almost saw you eat his face."
Arthit tightens the pillows on his face wishing he could stuff it in his head to stop the aching.
"It's nothing. Was just a friendly game."
"That's a friendly game? Do we even have the same understanding of that word?"
"Probably."
Arthit doesn't have the energy to justify what he did with Kongpob, from the pain he's currently experiencing, he regrets it deeply. This is karma going after him.
Irish shakes her head, she's so done trying to talk Arthit out of this situation, if he wants to be a fucking mistress, then so be it, it's his life anyway. "Anyway, your Mae wants to talk to you last night. She told me to tell you to call her."
Arthit immediately sits up, his aching head is suddenly forgotten at the wrath of his mother. His eyes wide taking Irish by her shoulders, surprising the latter, "Does she know Kong's here? Did you tell her?"
"What? No." Irish realizes Arthit has some minimal talks with his parents since Kongpob arrived and she never heard from Arthit telling his parents about Kongpob being here.
Though she doesn't know who Arthit's parents are personally aside from being her relatives, from what she heard from Arthit, his parents can be a bit strict sometimes.
"Why are you scared Arthit? Your Mae just wants to talk to you."
"Want to talk to me? Ish, you know I love my Mae so much but she can also be a little overbearing sometimes. She barely has this talk with me because talking to her means nagging me for hours and if she knew Kong's here,"
Arthit bites his lip in nervousness. "She's going to burn me alive and she's going to throw my ashes on my least favorite ocean if she knew I've been friends with Kongpob again, she's that cruel."
"Why? Is she against you and Kong?"
"Well,"
Arthit sat on his bed deep in his thoughts teeth nibbling his lower lip ignoring the growling in his stomach and his light-headedness, he felt weak but he didn't care.
Lately, he'd been feeling unwell– He couldn't eat, he couldn't sleep– He felt trapped.
A ping from his phone broke him out of his reverie, it's a voicemail from his boyfriend, Kongpob, he's probably out of his wits worrying for him ignoring him for almost a week now, the thought made Arthit cry.
He didn't deserve that beautiful man, Kongpob had given him everything, he had supported him, let Arthit meet all the people around him, Kongpob's beyond proud to have him yet Arthit couldn't even tell his parents that he's attracted to guys.
