Movies and novels often tell us how easy it is to find the right one– Main characters meet in a cute café, fell in love and though there will be hurdles in their love story– at the end of the day, it's all rainbows, cupcakes and upbeat love songs mixed with cute dances, they're still very much in love with each other.

But what they don't tell us is how reality works. People do fall in love but almost perfect relationships, they don't last. And that's fine because that's life.

Life sucks.

Shit happens.

That's the reality and you have to live by that.

And that's the reality for Arthit and Kongpob, they had 3 years, 6 years after, they met again through a letter. But a month after, they realized it wasn't going to work so they ended it.

3 years ended up with nothing. Almost 6 years of waiting to go into the drain.

But why was Arthit even regretful of those years they wasted?

6 years? 10 years? Even decades of a relationship can be shot down when people decided to end it and that's the wonder of life.

Surprises. Risks. Chances.

Arthit walks by the shore, he's shocked just as Irish is when he steps out of his room but he wants to see the ocean but right now, this is the only comfort he has.

He stops for a bit to pick up his sunglasses but a tan hand beats him to it. A handsome guy with a charming smile gives him the sunglasses back, "Here."

"Thanks?" Arthit tilts his head.

The guy smiles. "Singto. What's yours?"

Arthit smiles, "I'm-"

"P'Singto! Come here! You have to see this!"

"Sorry, someone's calling me."

Arthit frowns but he too smiles seeing the two guys laughing happily at each other. They look cute.

Arthit just wishes whatever happened to him and Kongpob wouldn't happen to them if they so happen to be together too.

But come to think of it, it may not be a happy ending with them together, like what everyone has expected, but it's a happy ending for both of them. Separately.

They were both at peace though it wasn't a beautiful closure, they had closure. They both got what they need to try to move on.

Now, they are trying to move on, finding themselves once again, prioritizing themselves, they can be happy again even without depending on each other.

Kongpob finally realizing what he really needs in life– to move on with someone else and not be stuck on his fantasies with his first love, give someone a chance and give him all to them.

And Arthit, to accept the consequences and stops blaming himself for what happened to them. He needs to stop regretting, trapping himself with all the thoughts of what could happen with them, he needs to stop hating himself and forgive himself. All 6 years, he always hates himself for leaving Kongpob, he knows he needs it but it's not what Kongpob deserves.

Kongpob is his worst regret, that one that could have been. The one that got away.

But quoting a famous line, 'There's no point in losing yourself by trying to fix what's meant to stay broken'

Meant to stay broken.

No matter how many people tell you how right you are for each other, how perfect you are together, no matter how many people support you– if it's not meant to be, no matter how you force it, it's not going to happen.

No matter how much you love each other, if it's meant to be the way it is, your fate is not going to change, because love is not the answer to everything.

People say life is like a book, a long novel, with Arthit being the main character, every memory is a chapter and the people around him as his guests. Some people are there to pass by.

Including Kongpob. He's meant not to stay in Arthit's story.

Kongpob, probably, is that character he should meet to let him grow in life because he did learn a lot from the younger.

Kongpob has taught him that life can be beautiful too even if it meant staying at home and not having to go for adventures. That people who are opposite can love each other too even with the rarity of it happening.

But what Kongpob has taught him most is to love himself, if Kongpob could love him more than himself, why can't Arthit do that to himself?

Arthit realizes, having to lose someone means finding someone and that's himself. He needs to focus on himself for a while. He needs to stop depending on other people to be happy. He can be happy even when he's alone.

This may not be the time he's going to move on from his greatest love but Arthit's going to find the right one for him.

He will be happy again.

Even if it takes him 6 years after.
