Day 24.

Beautiful.

That's what Arthit has instantly thought of when Samorn steps inside with a bright smile on her face, a gentle look in her eyes solely focused on Kongpob.

In a split second, Arthit has envied the younger that someone as beautiful as Samorn looks at Kongpob with profound importance. If Samorn wasn't his ex's fiancée and Arthit's not in love with said fiancér, he'd flirted with Samorn already.

Why wouldn't he be?

Samorn's beauty is breathtaking, in fact, Arthit blushes when he realizes he's staring at her a little too much, he's a bit mesmerized at her but only in a purely aesthetical level.

Kongpob has described her a wonderful person but he hadn't said so much about her physical looks, if he did, then he trivialized it- casual clothes worn over her modelesque body, sun-kissed skin, perfectly chiseled jawline, cheekbones to die for, plump lips set into a soft smile, sparkling honey-colored eyes, cinnamon-colored locks in a pixie cut revealing an elegant-looking arrow tattoo on the side of her slender neck.

Arthit can stare at her all day and not get tired of it. Seeing Samorn, he doesn't know anymore who is lucky with who.

Arthit turns his head away when Samorn suddenly wraps her hand around the younger leaning in for a kiss but Kongpob pulls away and looks at Arthit. "I have a visitor."

Arthit blushes at the attention he receives.

Samorn pulls away but her hand remains and gives Arthit a bright smile and wai'd. "Sawatdee kha, I'm Samorn, Kongpob's fiancée, and you are?"

Arthit smiles back and does the same thing. The truth on the tip of his tongue but he doesn't want any awkwardness around them and Samorn is like someone he can be friends with.

"I'm Oon, Kongpob's co-worker at the bar."

Arthit holds his breath waiting for Samorn to call him out for lying but Samorn only nods and gives him a soft smile with a tilt of her head. "That's weird, Kong hasn't told an Oon to me during his phone calls."

Arthit shrugs and smiles awkwardly. "We're really not that close, I was just here to give his phone back, he left it at the bar."

"Thank you. That's so nice of you Oon."

Nice? Right.

Arthit chuckles awkwardly and rubs his nape in embarrassment. "I should be going. I didn't want to disturb you guys."

"Oh no, it's fine. Hey, maybe we can eat dinner tomorrow if you're not busy? I want to meet all Kong's friends here."

"Yeah. That'll be nice."

Arthit gives her a small smile, shares a meaningful look with Kongpob, and then leaves.

Kongpob heaves a deep sigh, look lingering on the door for a minute before turning his head back to Samorn. "Why didn't you tell me you're coming here?"

Samorn blinks, smile slowly falling. She thought it's going make Kongpob happy that she flew all the way from Bangkok and left her work for him but from the frown marring Kongpob's face, she regrets coming here.

She feels alienated. By her own fiancée.

"Your parents arranged this, they wanted me to check on you. I didn't want to because I told you I'd leave you for a month but they insisted," Kongpob's parents can be a bit worrisome.

Samorn bites her lower lip, corner of her lip lifts to a little smile masking her pain. "Are you mad, Kong? I can just leave you alone if you want... if you don't want me here."
