we'll have to just play the waiting game

About 15minutes had now been since Wil had been taken into surgery. Jason, Stella, Abigail, Katie and Owen were sitting in the waiting room for him to come out but they didn't know how long he would be there so they had to stay as patient as possible!

Owen: Why is it taking so long?

Jason: It's been 15minutes!

Abigail: Feel's like hours...

Jason: I'm so worried.

Stella: I'm sure he'll be fine, the doctors are very good here.

Katie: Yeah, plus he's been through this loads of times.

Jason: Katie this is the biggest one he's ever had, it's not an easy one and he hasn't had one in about a year, his condition's worsen since...

Katie: That's a way to drown the positivity.

Jason: We need to face the facts that we might lose him today!

Stella: Let's just stay positive!

They then sat there in silence for at least an hour before they began talking again about their memories about Wil...

Owen: So how did you and Wil meat Stella.

Stella: Umm. Well I was going up stairs to look at the babies because I just love babies and he followed me up here as he was borrowing his room to you Jason so that you could use his bed for sex...

Jason: Did he say that?

Stella: Well no not really I assumed it and he didn't deny it.

Jason: Just to clarify it we don't use his bed for sex...we don't even use his room...

Stella: What about you guys, how did you meet?

Owen: We've all been in the same school for years.

Stella: That's nice!

(goes silent for a bit before they start talking about the memories that they had with Wil)

Jason: I remember once when he was in here and it was his birthday, he invited about 30 people to go swimming in the hospital pool and he got into so much trouble! Barb was fuming! he had so much fun that day.

Stella: Oh my god! I can imagine Barb being fuming, how old were you?

Jason: we were 9!

Owen: I remember once we got into this huge fight when we were about 13 I don't remember about what but things got very physical and ended with both of us crying and with blood over our faces we also got into so much trouble but Wil as he is used his sarcasm, his lying, and his Illness to get out of it, I loved him for that but I couldn't say anything because we had always been enemies. We always got into fights, but I'm glad that we're now friends and I hope I get a chance to hang out with him!

Abigail: I always tried to be nice with him but his sarcasm annoyed me so much that it was hard to do that, but honestly I really loved that about him he wouldn't take pity from anyone and that he refused to be treated differently!

Stella: That's what every sick kid has in common, no one wants to be treated differently.

Katie: But Wil, he didn't mind it if he got something good out of it, like the other week he had forgot his homework so he used it to get out of it!

Jason: I love the way he talks to teachers, It's so funny especially when he argues with them!

Stella: I can see that happening! apparently he always argues with the nurses when he doesn't want to take his treatments!

Jason: I've seen that happening on many occasions, we once went camping and his mum had put me in charge of him taking them, it obviously wasn't a nice position to be in but it was important so I didn't mind! He just wouldn't take them we literally got into a big fight about how it was his decision if he wanted to take them or not it was horrible!

Stella: Did he take them?

Jason: no...he threw them in the lake!

Stella: Oh my god what happened after?

Jason: Long story short, we ended up here! His mum made him come here so that the nurses could force them down his throat! He wasn't happy, he didn't talk to me for a week!

Owen: Was that the week when I sat alone every lunch time!

Jason: Yeah, he refused to sit with me!

Time was passing by very slowly but there had actually been a phew hours now and they had been latten known that he would be out in about an hour! Julie Owen's mum had insisted that everyone would go home and come back in the morning as he wouldn't be awake until at least the morning or maybe even the afternoon if at all, so that's what they did well everyone except Jason, he didn't want to leave Wil alone just in case and he also thought that Stella could do with his company!

Stella: So it's just you and me...

Jason: Yup!

Stella: Julie sounded positive that he would wake up, so that's good!

Jason: I guess so, I don't know what I'd do with out him Stella! He's been my best friend since forever!

Stella: I saw that you guys were close!

Jason: We are! He's like the brother I never had!

Stella and Jason talked more and more until they were informed that Wil was out of surgery and stable! They watched as they saw Wil being rolled back into his room, he had all kinds of tubes and stuff coming out of his body, but he was alive and had a great chance of staying alive!
