"W-what?" I questioned. I looked at her closely. "Who are you"? She asked curiously. My heart sank. "Nicole...Baby, are you serious...it's me Joe; your husband" I said. I could feel the tears. "It's me Nikki" I said, trying to refresh her memory. He looked totally lost/confused. My heart ached. My wife doesn't know me.
I got up and wiped the coming tears from my face. I walked out of the room to find the doctor.

I sat there totally lost. What was missing? I just made a grown man almost brake down. Why did he call me Nikki? Only people who know about...anyways only people who were extremely close to me knew. He said I was married, he was my husband. My head hurt; I was thinking too much.
The man came back in. He sat next to my bed careful not to touch my hand. "Nikki; c'mon, you have to remember...everything...something" he trailed off. I could tell it was hard for him. I reached my hand to his head and stroked the side softly.
A tear escaped my eye. "I'm sorry" I apologized. "Look" he began. He pulled out his phone and pulled up a picture. It was me, holding a baby. "T-that's me" I said. "And that's our daughter" he pointed out.
I started to cry. "I'm sorry, I can't remember" I groaned. I was becoming frustrated. There was along time of silence. "What's Her name"? I asked.
"Kailaieah Hope Anoa'i" he said. It was such a beautiful name. "Born on Febuary 22nd- 2lbs 1oz, 10" long" he said. "I came late"-"why was she so small"? I asked curiously. "She was uh....born almost three months early" he said. I gasped. How could I not remember?

I held the small baby in my arms. I had to stay quiet so I could get out of here. I made my way through the building and out a secret exit. I made my way through the town. I knew the lady was to be released in a couple days. So I had to get their address so I could give their baby back.

(About a week later)
The hospital was releasing Nicole. I've had to explain almost our entire life. It was killing me. My wife doesn't know anyone and my daughter's missing; how much worse can it get.
