[ MAMA'S MAD ]
"pope, you clocked that car, man. that was so bad." jj said.
"i'm just glad i'm not driving now." pope said from the drivers seat.
"pope, pull over. now!" kei said and jj couldn't help but laugh. ""jj, it's not funny. he shouldn't be driving!"
"and mama's mad." jj said as pope climbed over the console to get in the passenger's seat.
"where are we going?" maya asked.
"the last place they're gonna look." kei says.
☀︎
"kei, are you sure this is a good idea?" jj asked as kei got out of the car at tannyhill.
"she's the only one who can clear john b." kei says.
"last place they'll look because of how stupid it is!" jj called from the car, him and jj staying behind. "and we're alone."
"you're high as shit." maya said, taking the blunt from him.
"hey!" jj said, reaching to take it back from her but she took it out of his reach. "come on, give it back."
"no." maya said as jj climbed over top of her. "you're not getting it."
"i don't want it anymore." jj said, leaning down and pressing his lips to maya's.
the thought crossed her mind shortly of the others coming back and seeing their make out session, but it soon left as she only really cared about jj in that moment.
☀︎
"i've got a plan." kei says to pope as they walked toward the cameron's mansion.
"yeah, i have plans. we can do plan. let's do the plan thing. let's get it. let's plan it out." pope said, obviously high.
"can you handle a plan right now or do i need to go back and get maya?" kei asked.
"of course i can handle a plan right now. i'm—i'm plan guy. i'm—i'm mister plan-o-matic. i'm always thinkin' of a master plan, aye, 'cause they're ain't nothing—"
"shh!" kei said, covering his mouth. "look, this is a quiet plan. okay?"
"mhmm."
"can i move my hand?" pope shook his jeans and kei let her hand down, going to walk toward the house again.
"i love you, kei."
"what?" kei turned back around.
"i love you." pope says, "i'm in love with you."
"you're... wasted."
"no, i know i'm wasted." pope grabbed kei's wrist, "that's why i'm saying this now. i really feel like this. i love you. i've been meaning to tell you i lov—"
"are we doing this right now?"
"i'm trying to tell you how i feel about you—"
"pope... pope! pope, shh."
"hey! i'm trying to tell you that i love you."
"first of all, i need you to be quiet." kei says.
"okay, quiet, yeah. i can be quiet—"
"no, i mean stop talking... like now, starting now." kei said. "second of all... thank you for saying that. now, that's very sweet, but it's—look, it's not gonna happen."
"okay, well, why not?"
"because pogues can't mack on other pogues." kei says.
"okay, well, that rule doesn't make any sense, and nobody follows it. i mean, look at jj and maya."
"jj and maya kissed once in a hot tub because he was upset about his dad." kei said. "that doesn't mean anything, they're just best friends. just like how we are."
"no, kei, they're—they're together." pope said. "like, together, together. like, they've said i love you kind of together."
kei's face was shocked for a moment, "well, i want something different. i—i wanna go to antarctica, and i wanna ride camels."
"me too! i wanna do those things with you."
"no, pope." kei said. "it's not gonna work.
"i want to be that person."
"no! it's not gonna happen!" kei said. "do you understand what i'm saying? like... look, i know that that's really hard to hear right now, but we don't have time for this and this is a really bad place to do it."
☀︎
"stop, they're gonna come back and catch us." maya laughed, half joking because she didn't want to get awkwardly caught by kei and pope, but she also didn't want jj to stop biting her neck like he was.
"they'll be at least another twenty minutes." jj said.
"you're so fucking needy." maya giggled at the blonde.
"what i need is you." jj said, his hands sliding under her shirt.
