Chapter 29

"WAKE UP WAKE UP WAKE UP WAKE UP!"
A little girl was hoping on top of a red head which made him open his eyes when she gutted him.
Z: "Oouch! Ok ok Im up please just stop Lizzy"
L: "Nissa said to wake you up early cuz you're in charge of getting the medical supplies"
Zeke shot up from grabbing his stomach
Z: "Oh cra- I mean uh... I totally forgot about that hehe" he said as he touched his neck nervously and Lizzy put her hands on her hips.
L: "Ooooo you were gonna say a bad word huh?"
Z: "What?? Noo and besides I don't think its a bad word"
Lizzy runs off and Zeke reaches out to her in desperation
Z: "Oo- wait dont tell Nissa!!"
He grabbed his head and thought
Z: "Fuck Nissa is gonna make me do laps of chores all day now. Why is she so cruel!"
An image of Cloud popped in his mind
Z: "Wait a second...I should be looking for Cloud! Crap its been days now! Where could he be?!"
Zeke grabs his coat and his scarf then runs out of the house but was stopped by his sister punching him in the face suddenly.
Z: "oooowww what the hell Nissa?!" He said as he was sitting on the floor touching his cheek not realizing that Nissa was in bossy mother mode.
N: "you're going to make a delivery for me, I need you to get the supplies at the docs and when you're done I need you to go to the next town and ship these medicinal herbs. Got it?"
Z: "woaw woaw woaw! What? Next town?! Thats off the grid towards the desert in the middle of well BASICALLY NOWHERE! How am I supposed to get there?!"
Nissa hands him a map
N: "Anymore questions?"
Z: "Well..."
N: "Didn't think so, go on then off you go"
Z: "Wait what? Now!"
N: "Yess!"
Nissa walks off in her nurse attire
Z: "wait a second....maybe I can ask for information about Cloud in the next town"
Zeke widens his eyes in panic the yells to himself
Z: "AWWW DAMN IT! HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO GET THERE!" then mumbles to himself, "I dont have a vehicle.. but if I ask Nissa now she will give me the face and say figure it out..ya ill just ask her"
Zeke walks in Tifas room and sees Nissa injecting her with some liquid.
Z: "umm? Whats that for?"
N: "Contains vitamins"
Z: "oh you give her that daily?"
N: "Well yes I have to seeing as she's one of the worst patient in the hospital right now."
Z: "she is?" Zeke walks closer to see Tifas condition then looks to the side bothered
N: "Look, everything Im asking you to do is mostly for her well being. She can get back on her feet in a few days or less if you make a trade from the next towns hospital. They have incredible medicinal herbs-"
Z: "I thought you said you wanted me to deliver the herbs"
N: "Thats why its an exchange for theirs"
Z: "Wait...you're doing business with them since when?"
N: "years now"
Z: "YEARS?! And you never even told me?"
N: "well its business policy"
Z: "You do realize they were infected with a virus once right?"
N: "I do but someone lives there who lifted the virus and he is really good at mixing herbs plus its not drugs its natural so, he's a good man he became a doctor there recently after proving himself"
Z: "Ok...Ok fine. This is gonna help her wake up right?"
N: "if shes lucky she can take therapy for walking"
Z: "You're telling me shes-"
N: "Yep its easily shown that her body hasn't moved in a long time and it almost seems like she's been asleep for months now. Which she should've recovered a long time ago"
Z: "What are you saying?"
N: "I did some tests while you were off doing duty and since your a biology and a computer expert I think you should look at this" Nissa walked out of the room and into a lab where she opened a tab in the computer and showed Zeke the results Tifa produced.
Z: "What the hell? Thats not right, that doesn't make any sense..its almost as if-"
N: "She was going through physical pain, her body couldn't take anymore of it so she's been asleep recovering and I took some brain tests to see how the waves in her brain responded and look at this"
Z: "Wait what is that? Ive never seen a brain wave like that"
N: "Patients with trauma have waves like these so whatever or whoever she is or where you found her she's developed some ounce of pain physically and emotionally. So-" Nissa taps on the space bar and looks at Zeke, "What is it that you're not telling me?"
Z: "Okay...Im gonna tell you the truth but please dont be abusive or cruel to me anymore after this okay?"
N: "Im not abusive or cruel you brought it on yourself and Im mad at you cuz you left looking for mom-"
Z: "I didn't exactly go look for her okay?-I...I went on a mission, I had a job from a corp that hired me as a hacker to break into a scientific lab of some sort. I guess along the way I met someone and he helped me and he saved my life okay? Without this guy I would be dead in that lab okay? So we split up and I promised him well myself to keep her safe because he's special to her."
N: "Why promise yourself?"
Z: "This guy is an ex SOLDIER I didn't want him to kill me if he found out I left her in the dirt man plus..he's kinda scary sometimes"
N: "pff"
Nissa chuckled a little bit under her breathe and looked towards the screen
Z: "what? Whats so funny?"
N: "nothing its just..you think he's scary but when Im scary you raise you're hands like a little girl"
Z: "Im not scared...Im just more of a man about it.."
N: "Ok tough guy well...whatever she's been through she won't be waking up after her body has healed but her mind...I dont think her mindset will be on the same page."
Z: "You mean she might be crazy?"
N: "hopefully and not hallucinating"
Z: "wait she can hallucinate?"
N: "uh ya which is far worse if she does but thats why Im gonna talk to the doc next town to see if he can help, I'll be going with you now in a bit"
Z: "wait..What are we gonna ride to get there?"
N: "You do know that we have a truck from the hospital right? It delivers stuff for us.."
Z: "When did we get that?"
N: "A few days ago"
Z: "wow okay brand new, you obviously dont tell me anything anymore" Zeke looked appalled at Nissa
N: "I can say the same thing about you, but for what its worth I am sorry I really am..but I was busy doing these tests and I was curious since you weren't giving me answers"
Z: "oh so now I need you to be curious to help a brother out ? Okay thats cool"
N: "Zeke...okay lets just go to the next town and make the trade she really needs this help sooner than later"
~MEANWHILE~
Cloud was sitting in the infirmary alone, leaving him to think in his thoughts and decided what he needed to do but first he had to take care of something. He got up and walked in on the meeting the President was in, the people sitting in their chairs looked up at Cloud.
P/Rufus: "Will you excuse me"
The president walked off to Cloud and closed the door.
P/Rufus: "Is there something you need?"
C: "I need to know where Tifa is, I need to know if she is okay"
P/Rufus: "Aren't you going to see her yourself?"
C: "You tore off a page at the end of Tifas file...I know you did that on purpose, where is she right now?"
P/Rufus: "She's safe, she's in Gongaga with a friend of yours"
C: "Zeke?"
R: "yes and he is taking care of her injuries at a hospital...but why do you need to know?"
C: "I decided..."
President Rufus looked at Cloud confused
C: "Sephiroth is mine, you tell me where he is but I want nothing to do with Shinra after."
R: "I see...well you are welcome to use our services as you fit in the future as well."
Rufus tapped his shoulder with his hand and took his other to his ear.
R: "Cloud is on board please provide his services as he sees fit"
C: "Who was that?"
R: "My agent, Tseng will make sure you will get what you ask for, they will provide you with support. Now will you excuse me, I have a meeting."
