Midgar
The city of grey with a lonesome sky, the children run around in the streets as they bump into a stranger apologizing only to scare them away from his drunkenness. A familiar child with a bow in her hair stood inside looking out the window.
M: "Its grey today" she told herself
A boy walked inside the room holding a box
D: "Hey Marlene look what I have?"
M: "whats that package?"
D: "Its not a package remember when the bar burned down?"
M: "Ya" she looked down upset
Denzel looked at Marlene and smiled
D: "Well everyday I would go back and collect what was left"
M: "You did? But I thought there wasn't anything worth saving"
D: "No there was, I had to steal it from people to get it back"
Marlene sees Denzels bruises and scrapes on his face
M: "Is that why you always come home in bad shape?" She gave a disapproval face
D: "Well...ya but-" he scratches his neck
M: "You shouldn't have done that" she said motherly
D: "I know but..I didn't want that to happen again" he looked down
M: "Its okay let me see" she tilted the box
They both run their hands through the box and Denzel pulled out a stuffed animal
D: "Here" he smiled at her and gave it to her, her eyes widened in happiness
M: "I can't believe you saved him!" She hugged the stuffed toy that was given to her by her father, "Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" She kissed him on the cheek and continued hugging her toy.
M: "Ahem! Dont tell anyone about this!" she said pointing her finger at him
D: "That your such a kid? Oh no I would never tell anyone that" he said sarcastically and Marlene pushed his arm making him laugh.
D: "look I found this old photo of Tifa with Sephiroth"
M: "Wait a second whos that standing next to her?"
Denzel looks at the back of the photo and reads the names, "Tifa, Zack and Sephiroth"
M: "Zack..." she stared at the photo
D: "You know him?"
M: "She would talk about him a lot"
D: "hm? Who?"
M: "The flower girl"
D: "Oh I see" he continued looking through the box and pulled out a broken picture frame with their family taken together.
M: "Look its everyone, we should get a new frame"
D: "Ya" he stared at it for a while looking at Clouds friends, "You think they'll be back soon?"
M: "...when dad used to leave he would always come back no matter how long it took. Im sure they will come back" she set her stuffed animal on her bed and Denzel left the picture frame on his night stand next to his. They both shared a room even though they are both being taken care of in an orphanage.
D: "I hope they come back soon, the orphanage is so weird"
M: "It is a bit noisy with all the little ones running around sometimes but at least we have a roof and some free time to ourselves"
D: "Ya the lady was nice to take care of us til they come back"
M: "Ya...how did you steal the stuff back anyways?"
D: "I fought them"
M: "You fought them?" She raised an eyebrow
D: "ahuh Cloud showed me, but Im still not good at it like he is" he said as he sat down on his bed facing Marlene
M: "I wonder if Tifa can teach me a few things too, I wanna take care of them as well" she sat down on her bed with her legs crossed together toward Denzel
D: "..you think suffering makes us stronger?"
M: "Ya...I believe so it makes us prepared for the worst"
D: "Do you think... they think that way?"
M: "...If its Cloud then yes everyone else is stronger because of the things they had to do"
D: "..you think..Tifas alive?"
M: ".." they both look at the ground, "Shes strong right? So she'll be fine" She lifted her fist in the air with determination
D: "Right, we only have to live here for a little longer its not like its forever" they both nodded in agreement then a beautiful woman with green eyes, pale skin and long black wavy hair comes through the door.
Aunt May: "Dinners ready, now help me set the table ya?"
M: "I got it" she goes down the stairs
The beautiful female looked at Denzel who was sitting alone
D: "Ill be down in a minute"
A/M: "hm alright dont take too long or your food will get cold" she smiled and left closing the door. The blue eyed boy looked at the broken picture then looked towards the raindrops on the window, "please come home".
