Chapter 72

The blonde got up panting on the floor then he sees blood in his hands he found himself in a different world. A gust of wind circled him as he looked around to be found in space then he looks down to see a body decapitated as he panicked crawling backwards then he heard his voice.
S: "Have no fear, see the power I have given you"
C: "what? What power?"
The blonde looked around to see dark space to change into the blue stars widening his eyes
S: "This is your power"
C: "I dont want it! Where am I?"he gets up kneeling
S: "I am not from this world"
C: "what?"
S: "I am here to help"
The blonde turns around to see the silver haired man with his long black coat as he looked down at the blonde who was kneeling on one leg.
C: "Dont lie to me!"he accused
S: "Best not to point fingers"he says walking around teleporting around the floating rock
C: "This is your place I've been here once before, you live in a timeless space"
S: "Cloud, I know I may have done wrong but Im here to cut ties"
C: "what?! You expect me to believe that after everything you done!"
S: "I am sword less, I mean no harm"
C: "No! You listen to me! I need to rescue Tifa and my friends! They were taken because of your doing!"he says grabbing his bloody hand then Tifas voice appeared as he looked to his side to see a floating memory of her giggling then it was filled with memories, "what the hell?"
The silver haired villian opened his arm and spoke, "These are your memories your space your time"
C: "I dont understand"
S: "I have given you half my power to do what you see fit for this world"
The blonde looks down then looks up to see memories he's never seen before widening his eyes
C: "These aren't mine"
S: "I assure you they are very much your own, we are in your subconscious this is your mind"
The blonde looks closely at the memory and pokes it as he widens his eyes to see with his very eyes a white memory.
[Flashback]
Tifa looks back at him flirting with her white shirt and short black skirt in the forest.
T: "hehe I remember that, it was a strange time wasn't it?"
C: "Yea it was"
T: "Cloud I..Ive been meaning to ask but what happened to you if you weren't in soldier?"
The blonde looks at his hand
C: "I..I was a mercenary"
T: "hm I see even then huh?"
C: "Something like that" he looks at the grass in a sad manner then Tifa came close holding his hand as he looked up into her soft caring eyes then he blinks seeming flushed
T: "Its okay if you dont want to tell me, Im sure it was hard on you..but I care okay? Ill be here for you and fight with you no matter what"
The blonde leans in as Tifa widened her eyes, the brunette leans back stumbling a little feeling nervous then the blonde grabs her by the waist keeping her from escaping as he used his other hand on her cheek. The blondes fingers went all the way back to her neck as his thumb was on her cheek, he pulled her close as their lips were inches away from touching the brunette closed her eyes suddenly the blonde pulled away.
C: "Im sorry"
The brunette opened her eyes as he removed his hand on her cheek but Tifa grabbed his hand keeping it which surprised the blonde.
T: "Cloud..I"she says looking into his eyes longingly as she hears her heart beating quickly she exhales quietly.
C: "Tifa..", the blonde moved closer as the brunette began step back inhaling looking down as she let his hand go.
T: "I uh..we should keep going"
The raven haired began to turn around as the blondes hand reach out to her for a second then he grabs her hand as she turns around.
T: "..Cloud" she says his name as she looks into his eyes again
C: "Tifa..I know this is dangerous and I don't want you to get hurt...I-"
T: "I wont get hurt, Im fine aren't I?"
The raven haired female grabbed him by the neck and kissed him they continue to kiss each other passionately as if they were desperate and Cloud pushed Tifa onto a tree suddenly Cloud opened his eyes as they began dilating into that of a cats. Suddenly Cloud let go and Tifa opened her eyes as she felt her breathe escape from her mouth as the blonde began to choke her with his hand. The brunette was choking for air as she sees his glowing mako eyes she looks at his eyes terrified grabbing onto his hand and arm as the blonde lifted her up making her legs dangle.
T: "Cloud"
The blonde let go immediately as his eyes stopped glowing, Tifa fell to the ground gasping as Cloud looked down at her confused and kneeled down worried but the brunette looked at him afraid as she leaned back away from him.
C: "Whats wrong are you okay?"
The brunette looked up at him with her eyes wide and her eyebrows worried as she touched her neck, the blonde began to look at his hand as he tightens it making a sad expression.
C: "Im sorry I didn't mean-"
T: "Cloud, its okay..its not your fault I may not understand but I think we can figure it out together"
The blonde shakes his head in disagreement looking at the ground in guilt
T: "Cloud its okay really"she reaches to grab his face but Cloud looked at her with guilt in his eyes.
The memory begins to disappear as it changes into another
The blonde grabbed Aeriths wrist tightly making her bruise then he throws her hitting the wall
T: "Cloud stop!"
The brunette came running as Cloud slapped her with the back of his hand making her hit the wall and fall as she grabbed onto her purple cheek while Aerith was afraid of him then Tifa began to cry.
T: "CLOUD!!"
[End of flashback]
The memory disappears at the sight of Tifa crying as Cloud widened his eyes as tears rolled down his face disturbed by those memories.
C: "Are those mine?"
S: "..are they not?"
C: "I..I did that?" He says disturbed and realizing he was crying
The silver haired villain looked at him from the side
C: "....So why did you give me this power?"
S: "To release those memories that were taken from you"
C: "by who?"
S: "Yourself"
C: "What?"he says looking up at him as he kneeled down
S: "This is your life, the legacy you have left in the past"
C: "No..that cant be this isn't real, I would never-"
S: "These are not my memories, I would never be able to create such an illusion that comes from here"he says as he uses his finger to tap the side of his head, the blonde looks down at his hands making a fist.
C: "This is your fault..I would never hurt them!"he snarled at him as the silver haired man lowered his eyelids as both of their eyes began to glow
C: "Stop it!" He says looking away closing his eyes
S: "Do you feel that?"
C: "I dont want to hear it"
S: "This is who you really are Cloud"
C: "No!"
S: "You can not deny what you were created from, be as it may you are my brother it doesn't matter how far you run you can never get away from what you are"
C: "Shut up! Im not like you! I dont want to be like you! Your ruthless, selfish, and you dont care about anything or anyone but yourself. You wanted to destroy this planet and the people in it"
S: "Are you not ruthless? Are you not selfish? Cloud..destroying this planet was so that they can pay for what they did"
C: "What are you talking about?"
S: "Don't you see, this world is filled with disgusting humans poisoning the world and this planet. I wanted to save it-"
C: "No! You wanted to destroy it!"
S: "I was going to cleanse the earth-"
The blonde stood up with narrowed eyebrows
C: "You killed Aerith"
S: "...She was a mere puppet being controlled by the lifestream-"
C: "No!-"
S: "She did her mission that was asked of her, she knew she was going to die and that was her dying wish-"
C: "How could you know that?"
S: "Has it ever occurred to you why your still alive?"
The blonde looked down
S: "Your half my brother, you are not good or bad you are neither"
C: "what?"
S: "Your conflicted"
C: "Heh I want to save my friends how am I conflicted?"
S: "Cloud..the darkness always lingers inside you, you try to fight it and it fights back this is how it responds. The second you were reborn you can never go back to yourself and this is what you try to find..the you who no longer exists"
C: "Your wrong" he shakes his head looking at him threatening as the silver haired man opened his arms and smirks
S: "heh..ask her, ask them and you will know who you really are but deep inside you know it"
Sephiroth disappears into the dark as Cloud looks around at his lost memories floating encircling him. The blonde sighs and looks at his hand covered in blood then tightens his fist as he pounds at the ground.
C: "Sh*%!"he pants in anger looking at the ground then looks up at his memories to see the kids then Aerith and Tifa, he looks down again.
C: "Tsk! I have to get her out before..."
