Yuffie was in the materia shop surrounded by all kinds of materia, she wore her usual ninja clothes but this time instead of her converse she wore long knee socks with black flat boots. Days have past since the day with Sephiroth went, they may not have won that round but they sure did survive it somehow. Yuffie was moving packages full of unwanted materia or broken materia that didn't work that was useful for nothing. She opened the box and looked inside examining each materia then she looked back from inside the supply room towards the old man who was the owner, "Hey old man, how do you fix these materias?"
O/M: "I told you my name is Yeesho, no funny names or your fired missy!"he pointed at her with his eyes squinted as ever.
Y: "What are you talking about no funny names? You're the one named yeesho" she pointed out then he leaned over squinting his eyes like the elderly he is.
Yeesho: "Ill just say the word"
The ninja kneed down on him bowing nervously apologizing which made him smirk and play with his long white beard.
Yeesho: "Now look, I don't fix them I simply take it up the mountain where materias become rebuild by the lifestream because it is the will of the planet"
Y: "but what if the planet refuses?"
Yeesho: "then they dont fix it! Simple as that little girl" he said annoyed with his arms up.
Y: "hmm" she looks at the box then leaves them there as she walks out the supply room the old man shoved a mop in her hand for the floor as he pointed at Cid who was sweeping the floors.
Y: "ughhh more work? Where red go anyway?"
Yeesho: "Oh that fella, he makes trips up the mountain to repair the materia" he smirks
The ninja mumbles to himself, "well now I know you like to take credit for someone else's work"
Yeesho: "Hey! I heard that but I also make the trips myself" he pointed at himself and Yuffie clung to the mop from getting fired.
Y: "You know its impossible right?"
Yeesho: "I have seen it with my own eyes (he put two finger around his eyes looking at the ninja) besides its a secret no one can know", he lifted his finger over his lips to keep quiet and they started cleaning. As the sun went down Yuffie wiped the sweat off her forehead with her wrist as she finished cleaning the place spotless.
Y: "Hey old man, todays payday"
Yeesho: "Ah yes here you go" he hands her a small bag of gil, "200 gil as promised".
Y: "Thank you"
Yuffie leaves as Cid was heading out he lifted his hand in front of his face to catch his bag of gil from the old man, "Ya know you always aim at my face, something tells me you dont like me much"
Yeesho: "I have bad eye sight Im old" he laughs to himself as he starts coughing then Cid leaves. They both arrive at the apartments center up close up the mountain and Yuffie stops in front of her door, "Alright that makes a total of 600 gil each that should be enough until our next pay"
Cid: "Yuffie Im happy to help but I should get back soon"
Y: "You cant"
Cid: "uh why?" He scratched his neck
Y: "You don't need to"
Cid: "Deliveries havent been holding up sooner or later ill be getting kicked out of my own place the only one managing it is-"
Y: "Shera I know, if you like her just get married already sheesh" she says taking out her keys
Cid: "Shes not my wife and honestly we just live under the same roof no biggy"
Y: "Sure Cid" she unlocks her door and enters with Cid then Red came inside to join.
Cid: "Took you long enough"
R: "His rounds are quite much for me"
Cid: "At least your fast"
R: "I got a raise"
Yuffie sees his gil around his neck and she takes it
Y: "How much?"
R: "two hundred extra"
Y: "No way that makes 800 gil total thats enough for Cloud and Vincents-"
V: "I don't need you to baby me any longer, Im fine now"
Yuffie looks over to see Vincent standing in the dark corner unseen
Y: "Oh...Well its still enough to make a food party here!" She smiled
Cid: "hmm that sounds nice"
R: "Meat would be for my up most reward indeed"
Y: "Alright then, Its settled! Lets hold a party here tomorrow!"
The man in red sighs but had his eyes closed leabing against the wall as usual.
The next day
Vincent wakes up from bed and sits down on the side of it, he looks out the window to see the blue sky as he looked ahead to see Cloud who's bed was across from his. Then he grabbed a string of hair that fell on his face and sighs, "this is why I preferred my usual long hair.." a flash from the past reminded him his life of being a turk. Then someone opened the door and footsteps came quickly, he turned to see Yuffie running at him with a smile yelling, "YESSSS!!". Vincent panicked and dodged her hug as she fell over the bed hitting her arms then the pale man asked in a worry, "Uh are you okay?" As he got close to help her up but the ninja turned with light tears in her face, "Why would you dodge my hug you big meany!" She said making Vincent unsure what to say as his face started turning color, he looked away preventing her from seeing then she realizes that her short night gown was revealing her underwear. She quickly stands up pulling it down as she stared directly at the sky nervously, "umm...you didn't see anything"
V: "Agreed"
Then the ninja hands him an envelope while she holds back her blush, "here this came in for you" the pale man takes it and opens it then widened his eyes, "Where did you get this!" He said startling Yuffie, "well actually I uh sort of found it"
V: "When!" He said as if he was scolding her
Y: "um..years ago" she lowered her eyelids looking at the ground as if she was guilty.
V: "You didn't give me this to me then?!!" He yelled at her
Y: "Im sorry okay! I've been looking for it ever since we became friends, I know I stashed it someplace and I know that it was yours but truth be told I found it before we even met you" she reasoned but Vincent wasn't having it, he left the room and took his cloak.
Y: "uh?! Where are you going?"
V: "Thats none of your business" he closed the door behind him which made Yuffie feel even more guilty, she clutched the bed sheets sitting on her thighs. She immediately ran to her room and grabbed her clothes as she was headed out the door she was hopping towards the door almost dresses putting on her boot. She ran outside and looked for Vincent around the market places but it was a little crowded then she spotted a man with a red bandanna as she ran after him. She turned on an alley point yelling, "Vincent!!" but then a group of thugs appeared and said, "Oh would ya lookey here we got ourselves a volunteer boys". The ninja made a face of disgust saying, "uhh wait, is that materia you have there!" She said eyeballing their bag, "Why do you care?" Then yuffie narrowed her eyebrows, "look here you damn scum, Im gonna beat you up and take those back where they belong!" she said pointing her finger at them like if she was a hero. Then they came out of the shadows and she realized that they were ninjas.
Y: " oh uh...(laughs nervously) uh you know what I have to go do that thing!" She turned around and was about to run but was caught in a wire trap that they created, she witnessed ninjas coming down the walls and widened her eyes thinking "I f**** up" she closed her eyes as she heard groaning and metal clashing all together then silence. She opened her eyes slowly to find that a man in red cloak was standing in front of him as he cut down the wires holding her with his sharp fingered gauntlet. Then he walked passed her but Yuffie grabbed his arm as her head was bowed down at the ground, "Im sorry, I know I should of gave it to you sooner but I thought it was okay if I gave it to later. It obviously was not...I know how you loved her a lot and it wasn't my right to keep it after I found its owner. I sincerely apologize for my selfishness". The man in red looked at her, but all he saw was her head then he sighed, "Its not a big deal" he tugged his arm away from her.
Y: "It is to you so it is to me"
Vincent eyelids lifted a little at her response then he looked away and said, "about that party, I think we should go buy meat and make a salad or something" he said rubbing his neck as he walked then he stopped and said, "Are you coming?" The ninja lifted her head up and smiled to herself, "oh wait" she grabbed the bag of materia and started catching up with him. "Alright! I have 800 gil to spare!" She said skipping to his side.
V: "Dont use it all at once"
Y: "I know I know"  she said staring at him
V: "What?" He said without even looking
Y: "nothing just want to know if your happy about that letter" she said blushing a little
V: "What are you gonna do with that materia?"
Y: "Ill give it to the owner of the materia shop, Im sure it'll boost his sales"
Vincent smiled at her behind his turtleneck cloak and Yuffie looked at him.
Y: "uh are you smiling?" She said raising a finger
V: "nope" he looked away
Y: "but your eyes-"
V: "are we gonna get chicken or not?"
Y: "hm ya if thats what you like" she said having her hands behind her back smiling at him as they both chattered towards the market.
