Ramona's POV
All the noise in this house was annoying. I lifted my pillow and covered my head but that didn't stop it from being any louder. It's Saturday and Mary and Damien were moving in. I got up and headed downstairs only to see movers all over my house and changing furniture. I went to find my dad but he was nowhere to be found and all I saw was Damien in the kitchen.
"Why are you here?" I asked him and he rolled his eyes.
"Sadly I live here now" he said and I scoffed walking away.
You would think things were going to be okay between us but honestly finding out it was Belle just made me realize how much I regret forgiving him and sadly he will be apart of my life. I walked back to my room and went to my phone and checked my phone as all my friends were already talking in the group chat.
I turned off my phone and then I got a message from Joshua saying get ready for 12 which was in one hour so I quickly rushed to the bathroom and showered. After getting dressed in a simple floral dress and black flats and putting my hair in a pony tail, I headed downstairs and went outside to go to Joshua's house. I shoot a quick text to my dad telling him I won't be home and I walked over to Joshua's house. I knocked on the door and a lady opened it and she smiled.
"Hi sweetie come in" she said and I smiled entering.
"You must be Ramona?" she asked as she held our her hand.
"Nice to meet you Mrs. Lewis" I shook her hand.
"Call me Tamara sweetie, Joshua will be out in a second" she smiled.
"Thank you and I love your home" I said and she smiled.
"Thank you sweetie" she gestured for us to sit.
"You made him change you know that" she said and I was a little confused.
"How?" I asked and she sighed.
"Joshua had a lot of hurt in his life and it's been a while since he has been this happy" she smiled but I can see she was truly sad about what he went through.
"Mrs. Lewis, Joshua means a lot to me and if I changed him, I am glad because he deserves to be happy" I smiled and she hugged me so I hugged back.
"Thank you" she whispered in my ears and it felt good meeting his mom.
"Hey you ready?" Joshua leaned against wall smiling at our interaction.
"Ready" I smiled getting up.
"Bye Mom" he kissed her cheek and we said our goodbyes.
We walked out the house and entered the car, I tried to ask Joshua where we were going and he just teased me and said it was a surprise. I watched outside as he driving and then he turned into a field of flowers and I smiled as they smelled really good. When the car came to halt, Joshua got out the car and then walked over to me and opened my door, so I got out.
"A flower field?" I asked him out of curiosity.
"Our second date will be more about knowing each over a picnic" he smiled holding my hand.
He dragged to the field as we looked at the flowers and we stopped and I saw the picnic that was already set up and I smiled looking at him. We both took a seat and began to enjoy our date. Honestly I never got to experience things like this much in boarding school so for Joshua to do this, I really appreciated it.
"Thank you for this date babe" I blushed as he kissed my cheek.
"So are you okay with the marriage and the sudden move in?" he asked eating his sandwich.
"Mary and I are okay and honestly its weird that Dad will be getting married again but he is happy so doesn't matter" I shrugged.
"And Damien?" he asked and I scoffed.
"Finding out it was Belle just made me wonder what I even fell for and worse he is about to my step brother" I rolled my eyes and Joshua laughed.
"I am sorry babe but I know you got this" he rubbed his hand over mine and I smiled.
"Your mom said you changed" I said and his entire body stiffened up.
"It's okay if you don't want to talk about it" I said and he sighed.
"I know everything from your past, it's only fair for me to tell you" he said and I nodded.
"I was a baby when my parents found me at their door step, my real parents died two days after and when I was old enough to understand I found out I was adopted and they died and then my dad got sick and I blamed myself for my parents dying and for my dad getting sick, I always thought I am the reason and I wasn't worth it" he said with his head down.
"I made it my duty to work to help out my parents because I felt guilty, when school and work got hectic I turned to weed and then weed turned to cocaine, the night you fought those guys it was because I owed them money for the cocaine and they were going to beat me to the death, I tried to talk to Belle but she was in her own world and I felt alone until you saved me that day" he looked up at me with tears in his eyes.
"All I wanted to do was find you and then meeting you was even better and when we fought at school, I went on a drug trip and paid my debt and bought more but I saw you through the window and I told myself if I were to even be someone you could want or be around, I would have to change so I decided that I am going too, it's gonna take some time but I am willing too" he finished and I didn't even realize I was crying so I climbed onto his lap and I kissed him.
"Joshua Lewis, your nothing but perfect and you mean a lot me and nothing isn't your fault" we parted and he smiled.
"Your my real life Supergirl" he pushed my hair behind my ears and kissed me. It was passionate and I felt all my feelings for him developed. Joshua Lewis was the other half I needed.
