Ramona's POV

Sighing, I got up out of bed dreading the feeling of going to school. It has been a long time since I have even been to a public school, more specifically a highschool with a bunch of wannabe's and spoiled brats. Hopefully today goes great.

As I grabbed my towel, I walked by the window glancing next door only to see a guy taking off his shirt. I was a  bit taken by his body. His toned abs drenched with water, his curly hair soaked and his v-line sharp.

I didn't even realize I was staring until I saw him smirk. Feeling embarrassed, I quickly walked away and headed to my bathroom. He looked a little familiar but I decided to push the image of the guy's abs in the back of my head.

I began to prepare myself for the day. I brushed my teeth, showered and dried my hair. Giving myself a two minute pep talk in the mirror, I finally left my bathroom and got ready. I decided to wear some acid wash black jeans, a grey short sleeve T-shirt tucked in my jeans and a pair of black converse.

I quickly curled my hair and did a natural makeup look which consist of lip gloss, a little eyeshadow and my eyebrows. After checking myself in the mirror, I grabbed my backpack and headed downstairs to see if my dad made breakfast.

As I walked in the kitchen there he was finishing up the pancakes and bacon. I smiled as the scent hits my nose. It smelled really good. I took a seat on the bar stool, resting my arms on the counter and he turned around smiling.

"Morning princess," he smiles, sharing our food.

I smiled "Morning, how was work?" I asked.

"Same old" he shrugs saying.

He was one of the best doctors here so I knew a lot of people went to him for help. I have always supported my dad even though his job needed the majority of his time, he made sure I was okay at all times.

He finished plating our food and took a seat next to me. We ate our breakfast and had a casual conversation. I missed having normal breakfast like this and good food. He told me about work and I just spoke about how nervous I was for school.

After we finished eating I helped him clean up the dishes before I headed out.

"Oh by the way, the neighbour's son next door will drop you to school" he says and I literally stood there a little annoyed.

I was not good at making good impressions on anyone and it's even worse because he was the guy I saw this morning through the window. Just thinking about seeing him in person made me feel even more embarrassed.

The doorbell rings and I sighed. Here goes nothing. I quickly dried my hands and grabbed my backpack. As I left the kitchen to go inside the living room, I noticed dad was at the door with the guy. As I went a little further, I got a closer glimpse at the guy and immediately stiffened. It was the guy who I helped last night and not only that he was my neighbour.

I hurriedly walked back into the kitchen freaking out. Does he know it was me? Well of course not cause I am sure there is someone who has pink hair other than me. Okay breathe, no need to freak out. I walked into the living room after calming myself down and they both looked back at me.

"Ah, Ramona, this is Joshua," he introduced us. Joshua waved and I gave him a simple smile. So far, so good.

I kept my head down for a bit but I could feel him staring right at me. I simply look up and glance at him. He looked like he was trying to figure out who I was. Hopefully he doesn't.

"Okay remember to take these pills and ice the bruised areas" Dad orders and he nods.

My father turns to me giving me a quick hug wishing me good luck. After we parted, I walked outside with Joshua following behind.
