CHAPTER 5

Not Meant to be

"A-Ace! Anong ginagawa mo rito?" Rage asked me. Tumayo sila nang maayos habang si Soul naman nanatili lang ang tingin sa dalawa.

"Nagpapahangin." Sagot ko. Nagsitanguan naman silang dalawa at nagmamadaling umalis. I frowned with their actions. Do I look scary?

"What's wrong with them?" Soul looked at me ang shrugged. "I don't know."

"Uhm-I think I'd head back to my dorm now. Nice meeting you." I told him but he grabbed my wrist.

"I'm Soul, you can call me Frauz."

"Uh-ok, Frauz." I smiled at him before leaving the roof top. There's something in him that I craved, his attention? Nah, I'm here for a purpose. I want to reach that goal.

When I got back at the dorm, I saw them all with a worried face well except for that Renzo.

"What's up guys?" Bill examine me for a minute and he signed the boys that I'm clear. They all sighed in relief. I frowned. What's going on with them?

"She's fine." He announced.

"Uh-kumain na kayo?" I asked them, they all shook their heads.

"Walang marunong magluto sa amin." P said. Napailing nalang ako. I go to the kitchen to cook for them. I guess this would be my part in this dorm.

"Woah! You know how to cook? Yes!" Cello said.

Several minutes passed I finished cooking. I prepared 10 plates with the same utensils. I separated a dish for the rank 1 whose presence is not around but I'm sure he'll be back later.

"He would not eat that." Auee said. "He may eat it or not at least we prepared something for him."

"Correction—You prepared something for him." Max added. I chuckled. "Ito na ang magiging trabaho ko dito simula ngayon."

"Yas! May tagaluto na tayo!" Zion said. It's a surprise since he's a quiet man. They all agreed.

"You received your tasks for the week?" Baling tanong ni Rage. Napakunot naman ang noo ko. "Yah, I'm paired with Cello." Bill said. I frowned. Akala ko ba individual ang tasks.

"I thought individual ang tasks." Pahayag ko. Tiningnan nila ako. "May tasks naman na individual, baka next week. Ewan ko kung bakit kailanagan may kapares."Sabi ni Auee.

Hmm. If that's the case, sino ang kapares ko? "I'm with Auee." Ngiti na sabi ni Max. Natawa naman ang iba sa pagsabi niya at binatukan siya ni Auee. "Kadiri ka! Para kang bakla!"

"Partner ko si Zion." Sabi naman ni P. Tiningnan nila si Renzo. Nairita naman siya dahil sa mga tingin nila.

"What? As usual si Soul!" that means si Rage ang partner ko. "I was paired up with Ace!"

"Aight! Then let's ready for tomorrow! I'll wash the dishes." Presenta ni Cello.

Pagkatapos kong kumain ay pumasok na ako sa kwarto ko. Nagscroll lang ako sa tablet ng mga baril na maari kong gamitin bukas. Ang maging isa sa Top 10 ranks ay isang pribilihiyo. I will not waste it now that it's a big help to reach that thing.

Pagkabukas ay maaga akong nagising. I washed my face and tied up my hair. I got from my room and started to cook. Hindi ko nakita ang plato na may pagkain mula kagabi kaya nasisigurado kong kumain na siya. Pagkatpos kong magluto ay hinain koi to sa lamaesa. Nakita kong lumabas si Cello sa kwarto niya.

"Good morning." He greeted. Tumango lang ako. Umupo siya sa inupuan niya kagabi. "You can wake them up. They don't usually have breakfast kasi walang nagluluto sa amin but now.."

"Good morning." Halatang bagong gising na si Auee. Pumunta siya sa banda namin. Tumayo ako, siguro nga ay kailangan ko silang gisingin.

Inisa-isa kong katok ang mga pinto nila. "Soul and Renzo is out as usual." Pahayag ni Auee. That Soul-guy hindi ko pa siya nakikita. Lumabas na sila kalaunan at nagsi-upuan sa kanya-kanyang upuan. Biglang may pumasok. Isang lalaking pawisan at may tuwalyang nakasabit sa ulo.

"Uy Renzo!" Tawag ni Bill. "Uh-ano?" masungit niyang sabi. "Si Soul?" balik tanong ni Rage.

"Out, doing rounds."
