CHAPTER 8

Encounter with Devils

Tinanggal niya ang lalagyan ng baril ko at ang benda kanina. Tama nga siya, dumudugo ang sugat ko. Marahil sa pagsipa ko iyon kanina. Mabilis niyang nilinis ang sugat ko at nilagyan ng ointment tsaka binenda ulit. Binigyan niya rin ako ng lollipop.

"Thank you." sabi ko at tumayo ng tuwid. He ruffled my hair and we waited for Rage and Renzo right at that spot.

"Be careful."

"Nah-I know you'd keep me safe." makahulugan kong sabi. He frowned.

"Soul! Ace! Are you ok, Ace?" tanong ni Rage sa akin. Tumango naman ako.

"Ang hirap makalabas doon. Ang daming tao." Paliwanag ni Renzo. Nagsipuntahan na kami kung saan nakapark ang mga bika namin at pinaandar iyon. Renzo lead the way. Behind him is Rage. Sunod ako at panghuli si Soul.

Naalarma na kami nung may biglang may sumulpot na sasakyan sa harap namin dahilan para mapatigil kami. Buti nalang at inalalayan ako ni Soul upang hindi tuluyang matumba ang sinasakyan ko.

"Shit! I knew they're coming." Rinig kong inis na sabi ni Renzo. Napakunot naman ang noo ko nung may bumababa na lalaki na may side-glasses. He looked like the same age like us. Another 3 walked out from the car. Rage stand in front of me gesturing like he's protecting me from them. Soul stand behind me. I can't see! Rage is tall and Ranzo, he's tall too.

"Surprise? I'm here to get what's ours." Sabi nung lalaki. I still can't see. Hinila ko ang laylayan ng shirt ni Soul. He looked at me with a serious face. "I can't see." I can't move to the side since Rage's hands were right at the both sides and Soul is at my back.

"You need more protein." He said casually. Napasimangot nalang ako.

"Make Auee leave your school." Auee? "Pinili ni Auee na lumipat sa school namin at hindi namin siya pangungunahan sa mga desisyon niya." Sagot ni Renzo. Again I poked Soul and he handed me a lollipop.

"What are you hiding Rage? Is that the new Rank 10?" I can feel that he is smirking. I looked at Soul and he was looking at that guy so serious. I manage to escape from Rage's back. I saw the man's surprise reaction and I heard my roommates cuss.

"Tsk. We already gave you a warning. 3 days, if you don't give Auee back to us, we'll see you in hell." I stepped forward and handed him my hand. Renzo looked like he was going to attack someone the same with the other two. Soul was just right at my back holding a part of my hoodie.

Ano ba ang meron kay Auee?

"What if we gave you 3 days to get Auee and if you fail, we'll see you in hell?" He laughed at me. Tumalsik ang laway niya sa mukha ko kaya naman nainis ako at sinuntok siya sa mukha. Agad naman siyang nakabangon. Hinila ako ni Soul papunta sa likod niya.

"Ha! Ang lakas naman ng loob mo! Sino ka ba sa inaakala mo?" galit na sigaw nung lalaki. His team mates looked alarmed too.

"Ace, Rank 3. So? Let's have a deal. Take it or leave it." I said trying to escape from Soul's grip. Tumawa ulit yung lalaki at sandaling nag-isip.

"Fine!" giving up. His alipores immediately left the place. Renzo stared at me.

"Are you thinking or just plain stupid?" galit na sabi niya. I frowned at him. Rage tried to push him away.

"You have given them a chance to get Auee from us!" he said. Rage was silent but I know he's thinking. Soul was just at my back.

"I didn't say we will let them get Auee. I just told them to get Auee in three days. By force or not we will protect Auee." I said. Renzo calmed down. What's with Auee and those guys? Rage nodded at me and got his bike up. I got my bike up too and left the place.

"You're his friend right? then prove yourself if you truly care for Auee."

When we get back to the dorm. Soul gathered the boys and discussed the matter. Everyone was so serious when he told them we encountered some students from Rosette University. Auee was more affected. I sat beside him and smiled.

"In three days, they are going to get Auee back to Rosette." Pahayag ni Rage. Auee directly said "Hindi na ako babalik doon."

"Good, then the only thing we need to do in three days is to protect Auee. Rosette's attempt may be by force but we won't let them get Auee." Rage exclaimed. That powered the guys up and they agreed to it. I smiled when Auee smiled too.

There's something odd about him but.. maybe I could trust him for now.

I got up and let them talk for a while. Lumabas ako para magpahangin at napadpad ako sa roof top. Magagabi na at may mga bituin na akong nakikita. Nakikita ko ang siyudad mula rito. Mga ilaw na sangkatutak at napakaganda tingnan. It was perfect, peaceful, and safe.

"I knew you'd be here." I know it's him. He sat beside me facing the other direction.

"I know your goal." In a sudden the atmosphere got serious. "I know you Arthria Camilla Alcazar, I know everything." I gasped in disbelief.

"I think I heard your name before, I'm just not sure but I think Max said your name."

"I'm Soul, you can call me Frauz."

"Well, alam mo kung sino lang ang pwede mong pakasalan. Kaya binabalaan lang kita dahil maaring mahulog ang loob mo sa kahit sinong lalaki."

"Took you long to finally show up." I said. But I still have a lot of questions but I think it doesn't matter for now.

"I'm Frauz, your fiancé."
