CHAPTER 16

A Bit of Trouble

"Enough!" panay parin ang pagsundot niya sa mga pisngi ko habang kita ko ang pagkainis ni Soul sa ginagawa niya. Napabuga ako ng hangin. Alam kong hindi magpapaawat ang lalaking ito sa kung ano man ang gusto niyang gawin.

"I said enough, Ark!" may halong pagbabanta na sabi ni Soul sa kanya. Tiningnan naman niya si Soul ng masama.

"Ok! Ito naman, nagagalit kaagad!" reklamo ni Ark. Napailing nalang ako.

"Ano gusto mo kainin, my loves? Chocolate, pizza—"

"She's not allowed to eat unhealthy foods, Ark. Sa lahat ng tao na nandirito ikaw ang unang makakaalam nyan! Doctor ka pa naman!" asik ni Soul. Napahalukipkip naman si Ark. Though I want to eat those foods too.

"Ang strict naman niya." Bulong niya sa akin. Napatango nalang ako.

"Hayaan mo, tatawagvan ko si Anc para bilhan ka ng---"

"Bawal nga kasi kuya." Tawang sabi ko sabay turo kay Soul na madilim na ang mukha.

Maya-maya ay may dumating na lalaki. He's wearing his usual clothes. A hoodie and his favourite black ripped jeans. It's been a year since the last time I saw him. He looked at me with his worried eyes but he hides it perfectly. He grew taller, both of them actulally.

"Anc! Nauna ako." Ark said. They looked similar but a little different on how they act. Ark is more the gullible and stupid kind while Anc is quiet and emotionless type. Hindi niya pinansin si Ark bagamat dumeretso siya kay Soul. Inambahan niya kaagad ito ng suntok.

I almost jumped out of the bed when he did that but Ark was the fastest to move and gave him a blow to make him stop. He rolled his fist after the hit. Anc was moved back while Soul was getting up.

"Anc!" sigaw ko.

"Ang tagal ko ng hindi nasusuntok ang mukha mo. It felt good." Sabi ni Ark. He may act recklessly but he's not dumb and weak.

"Hinayaan niyang masaktan si Camilla gunggong!" may diin niyang sabi. Soul looked at him. "I will not let it happen again." He gritted.

"You better not, idiot." Biglang seryosong sabi ni Ark. I don't get both of them.

"It's not his fault. I let my guard down." I said briefly to catch their attention. Anc got closer to me and sat right beside my feet. He looked away. Ark on the other hand aided Soul's face. Yeah, I know. We're a bunch of weirdos.

"Sinong gago ang nagsabing pwede kang masaktan ng ganito?" tanong niya habang hindi parin nakatingin sa akin. He's always like this. Ayaw na ayaw niyang nakikita ng ibang tao na nag-aalala siya.

A smile crept into my face.

"I want a hug, kuya." Sabi ko. He looked hesitant when I said those words but he hugged me carefully not touching my wound.

"Tsk. If this happens again, I'll do everything to take you back inside the mansion." Napatigil ang lahat sa sinabi niya. We knew he would do everything he wanted to make it happen.

"She's all grown up, Anc. Let her live her life without depending on us." Ark was determined. Anc looked upset while Ark was patting his head. Soul.. he is looking at me, intently.

"Look at her Ark! It's just a year without us and she got shot! Nearly dying!"

"It's nothing compared to when she was staying with us. It's better to keep her this way. Soul will surely protect her. It's far more dangerous when our enemies get to know her identity. It's the best way to send her off to learn." Tumikhim ako, in case they forgot how alive I am and I can hear them talking about me and Soul.

"Tsk. Fine." Anc dangerously looked at Soul then he looked at me dearly. I sighed. My brothers are weird.
