CHAPTER 6

I Overslept!

Nasa kwarto na ako at napagdesisyunan namin ni Rage na magkita sa labas pagsapit ng alas dies sa umaga. It's still 8 am. Naligo ako at nagbihis sa komportableng damit. I read our task, it was to fight in street Royale. We would be facing the other top 10 ranks from different schools.

I was wearing a simple shorts and a hoodie. As long as I'm comfortable then I'm good. May benda pa rin naman ang paa ko dahil bala kahapon pero hindi na siya masyadong masakit tulad kahapon. Nilagay ko ang straps na lalagyan sana ng mga baril ko. I took some painkillers and walk out from my room. I checked my locker to see my guns. I will only be needing the small ones.

"Are you sure you can fight with that leg?" napalinga ako sa kung sino ang nagsalita. He closed his locker and I saw his serious face. He was sweaty too and his hair was wet. I looked down at my leg.

"Yea, it seems fine." Sabi ko at sinara ang locker ko. Lumapit siya sa akin. Nagtaka ako kung ano yung hinahawakan niya. He lifted my leg and I was about to hit him but instead I let him do it.

"A-Anong ginagawa mo?!"

"Dadagdagan ko lang ang benda at aayusin ko lang ang guns straps mo para hindi nila masyadong mapansin na may kahinaan ka." He said seriously. He was so careful at aiding my leg.

"K-Kaya ko naman ang sarili ko. Tsaka wala naman akong paki sa gagawin nila. I just need to win the fight then I'm done."

"Aray ko naman!" hiyaw ko nang bigla niyang hinigpitan ang benda ko. Napabusangot naman ako. His sweat drops to the floor. He looked more mysterious with his usual serious face. I know him. I've met him once when I was a child. He was also present in all of his missions. He must have thought I didn't notice him all the time.

Out of the things he has done for me, I still seek an answer on why he was doing it.

"Soul."

"Why didn't you tell me you are Soul?" I was referring to the rooftop.

He looked at me with his mesmerizing eyes. "I did. I told you I am Soul."

"Yah, but you didn't tell me your rank and we live in the same dorm." He carefully put my leg down and stood up straight. "Does it make a change?" umiling ako bilang sagot. I sighed. I can't see any signs of him to elaborate his answer. Sumunod nalang ako sa kanya palabas. Sabay kaming lumabas sa locker room at pumunta sa dorm.

He surely is tall. The muscle tee he was wearing was showing his pumped muscles due to his regular work out. Malaki at matikas ang tindig. Hindi mo maipagkakaila na habulin ng babae ang isang 'to.

"I made dinner, did you eat last night?" tumango siya. "It was good." Komento niya. I smiled. "I made breakfast earlier, would you eat it too?" he sighed. Binilisan ako ang paglalakad ko para pumantay sa kanya.

"Uh-I don't eat breakfast but if you want me to—" I interrupted him. "I want you to eat breakfast." I said bluntly. He chuckled a bit and ruffled my hair. He nodded as a response. It was a sudden reaction from him. I feel so light with him.

We got into the dorm and I saw their faces in a shock. Auee greeted us while Soul went to the dining area and sat down to eat. They looked all stunned at what he did. He frowned and that is when the guys around us went back to what they were doing.

"Am I dreaming? or was it Soul eating breakfast?" Bulong ni Auee. Bigla naman siyang sinapak ni Max. "Aww! what was that for?!"

"Definitely, you're not dreaming."

"Ace! Tulungan mo nga ako! Paano mo nalampasan and level na ito?" Rage was wearing the glasses of the Worlds of Rulers. "Uh-may I see?" I grab the glasses and stay close to him or else it will be signed out.

"Oh! You have to get the pearls." I said.

"hmm, alright."

I was about to get inside my room when I saw him looking at me. His face was dark and more serious than before. I shrugged at him and mouthed "What?" umiling lang siya sa akin. Have I done something wrong? Hindi ba masarap ang niluto ko? But--everybody said it was delicious! Tsk. He probably didn't like my cooking.

Pumasok ako sa kwarto ko nahiga sa kama. Dahan-dahan akong napapikit. Naiisip ko tuloy na hindi nga ako masarap magluto. This just bothers me a lot. I need to redeem myself! I'm going to give them my best meals! Sisiguraduhin kong masasarapan na siya sa susunod. Sa pag-iisip ay nakatulog ako.

Nagising ako dahil sa isang mapangahas na boses. "Gigising ka o sasaksakin kita!" galit niyang sigaw.

"Oo na, babangon na nga." I yawned a bit and got up. I looked at the time. It's 10:10! I overslept. Nagmamadali kong kinuha ang gamit ko, pati narin ang ipod ko. Renzo looked so mad so I gave him sweets to cool down. He accepted it and we both got out from my room.

"Tsk!" suplado.

Outside, I saw nobody. Nauna na siguro sila kaya naman kaming dalawa ni Renzo ang sabay. "You know how to drive?" tumango naman ako. Tinutukoy niya yung mga big bike na nasa harap namin. It has numbers too. It was 2 and the other one was 3.

"I'll lead the way. Try to keep up." Sabi niya tsaka pinaharurot ang motor. Sinundan ko naman siya.

When we reached the area. Ang daming nanunuod sa kasalukuyang laban. Renzo grabbed my hand and we got into the crowd. They all looked at me like I was out of place. I saw Soul getting up on stage while Renzo was still pulling me to somewhere. At last I saw Rage waving at me with a smile and Renzo ran to the stage with Soul.

"Bakit merong babae?"

"Sino ba 'yan? Ampangit naman!"

"Girlfriend siguro ni Renzo, pre!"

"Just in time!" sabi niya sa akin. I pouted and said. "I overslept." Ginulo niya ang buhok ko. "It's fine. We got your back." I smiled at him. Binigyan niya ako ng chocolate and a drink. Maybe he bought it somewhere here. I sipped my drink and ate the chocolate.

"Soul, Rank 1. Tresh, Rank 2." Sabi ng Royale. Pagpapakilala sa dalawa naming miyembro. "Amidst, Rank 1. Quinn, Rank 2." Pakilala naman ng kabilang grupo. The countdown started and the crowd get wild. Renzo's stage name is Tresh.

"Tresh? pfft!"

"Ayaw na ayaw ni Renzo na tinatawag siyang Tresh kapag wala siya sa Royale." Pahayag ni Rage. Tumango naman ako bilang sagot at tiningnan ang away nila. At dahil naubos na ang binigay na tsokolate ni Rage ay tinannong ko siya kung saan 'yon nabibili. Ititnuro naman niya kaagad kaya pinuntahan ko iyon. Kaso naalala ko wala nga pala akong pera.

"Rage pwedeng umutang?" tanong na nagpatawa sa kanya. Tumango naman siya ay binigay ang isang gold na card. I was so amazed.

"Babayaran ki--"

"Libre ko na." sabi niya sa akin at ginulo ang buhok ko. Naghiyawan naman ang mga tao marahil sa labanan sa Royale. "Oh!Thank you." I smiled brightly.

"Pabili nga 'ho—"

"Hello, my love!"

"What the fuck are you doing here?" nag-iiba ang aking paningin nung makita ko ang isang pamilyar na lalaki.
