CHAPTER 32

Saved from Hell

Rage's POV

Kasama ko si Bill sa paglalakad patungo sa battle arena. Kung ako ang tatanungin mas maganda na dito gaganapin ang opisyal na laban namin ni Ion, ang kalaban ko. Tinanggal ko ang aking salamin at itinago iyon.

"Ayoko sa lugar na ito." pahayag ni Bill. Napakibit-balikat nalang ako. Marahil sa dami ng estudyante na nandirito rin para sa laban. May natitira pa naman kaming porsyente ng mga estudyanteng hindi pa natatalo sa laban mula noon unang araw.

"Andito na ang kalaban mo." pahayag niya ulit. Sanay na ako kay Bill. Lahat ng napapansin niya ay sinasabi niya. Pero minsan kapag wala siya sa trip magsalita ay tatahimik lang 'yan buong magdamag. Paminsan-minsan rin inaaway na siya ni Renzo dahil sa inis kaya tumatahimik siya kapag andyan si Renzo.

Ayaw niya kasi sa away kaya umiiwas siya sa kahit anong bagay na pwedeng pagsimulan ng isang away. He's just too naive. Well not that naive because he's tainted. Asal inosente yan pero mabibigla nalang kami sa mga babaeng napapabisita sa dorm namin habang umiiyak. Napa-iling nalang ako sa iniiisip ko.

"Andito narin ang kalaban ko."

I stepped to the ring and tapped in. Most of the students looked at our direction. Maybe they were curious in this on-going battle. I smiled at my opponent. He gave me a smug face in return. I shrugged with his attitude.

"Rage, Rank 4 of CEU. 2501 points." I stretched my arms in full length.

"Ion, Rank 4 of STU. 2743 points."

"Balita ko babae raw ang pumalit sa'yo?" tanong niya sa akin habang nilalabas ang armas na gagamitin. Well typically, it's a yes. I sighed and ready my stance. "Yep." I get this a lot so I'm used to it. I'm not mad either. I just think that schools that run students into violence are crap just like this school.

"Aren't you ashamed? Nilampasan ka ng babae! kung ganon nasisigurado kong mahina ka!" asik niya. I rolled my head, ignoring what he was telling me. Ace and I are different. I have a different style in fighting and she has her own too. People aren't the same either, we are unique.

"Ignoring me ha?! Just so you know, my name is Ion and I'll be the one who will make you scream---"

"Just! Just attack me already okay? No need to prove anything to me, I'm not your girlfriend." Bagot kong sabi. He's face went indescribable. He looked irritated but he's smiling! I don't know how to read that expression.

"Cool face huh." Rinig kong sabi ni Bill sa baba, gilid ng ring. Napabuga nalang ako ng hangin. His knuckles are armed with sharp spiky steels. He could have a better weapon than this one. Well if this suit his style then so be it.

"Ano?! Iilag ka nalang sa buong laban?!" galit niyang asik ng hindi niya ako mahuli. Ano bang problema ng lalaking ito at parang galit sa mundo?

He ran towards me with his fists on point not thinking of any moves, just plainly attacking me. For a rank 4? he doesn't think that wise. He just uses his strength and frightens his opponent. Bad luck, it's not working on me.

With his fist point at me I hit his elbow sideways to prevent it from hitting me. I held his hands and twisted it without a word. I hate to end this but I think it's now the end. He screamed in pain. kneeling down looking at his twisted wrist. I looked down at him.

"A man once told me, think before you act." I smiled and got down from the ring letting the medics attend to him. Bill raised his hand for a hive five. I reached it and bumped with it. Seriously? It's just the start of our day but I already want to end this day.

I remember the man who told me those words. I was in rage when random guys were sent to kill my whole family. I was still young, 11 years old by that time. I'm reckless and hurt. But then a girl my age came and let me hide in my parents room. I was planning to go out and attack those who killed my family but then someone stopped me and said those words. He opened the door and did not even have the hints to stop me from my plans. His eyes were set to the girl who made me go into this room forcefully. She wiped those guys who wiped my family too. She looked at our direction without any emotion and left the place.

"Until when are you going to stop, Arth?" I heard the guy whispering in the air full of frustration and longing. I can tell that we're the same age too. He looked at me blankly.

"Rage Ricafort Allego. Your family requested to let you live with us if anything bad happened. Don't worry this is a long term contract made by our families from your grandfather. Your properties will be explained by your lawyer." He said in a monotone voice.

I really don't know what to feel by that time. I felt confused, scared, hurt, but at the same time hopeful.

"Your shoelace is untangled." Napabaling ako kay Bill na paakyat na sa ring. I looked down and fixed my laces.
