Quick Authors Note: I'm new at writing on here, I write on other apps, but this one I'm new to so give me a break. Please excuse my grammar mistakes (I forget to prove read a lot). Constructive criticism is good. I made this book up, if there is somehow another book like it, I swear I didn't steal it. Hope you like it!!

I reached my hand into the sun once more, watched as my hand turned red and started smoking.

"June stop," Annie chided me. "You're going to explode and I don't want your ash on the carpet.

That's Annie for you, caring deeply about what would happen if I step outside in the broad daylight.

"Is Maya done with sun necklaces yet?" I whined.

"Nope." Annie said popping the 'p', "Apparently the the other spell book we didn't burn is in her great great grandmothers grave. So now she has to figure out the floating spell, to get the casket out of the ground, and the unlocking spell to get the casket unlocked."

"We didn't burn her old spell book, I ate it." Adam walked into the room.

"Oh yeah." I smiled at the memory.

Adam was having his first transformation as a werewolf, and accidentally pulled Maya's spell book off the counter and tore it to shreds.

"Bad boy!" Annie yelled.

"We can never tell Maya about this!" I said while looking at the torn up shreds of paper everywhere.

"Ahh... yeah. So it's all your fault end of story." I declared.

"Nope you could asked for a simple repair-O spell, but you chickened out and burned the whole house down." Adam reminded us.

"Right...." Annie whispered.

"Well.... I'm going to go make dinner." Annie declared walking away.

"Please don't add garlic this time." I pleaded. "I know it's not deadly, but the taste is gross."

"Whatever,"

"I have to go make sure my trainee Duke, is ready for tonight." Adam said walking out the front door.

Adam once again forgot to close the door, and the sun shone in. I was far away enough that the sunlight wasn't touching me, but I could still feel the heat from it.

I sighed sadly knowing I'd have to close the door, so bugs don't get in (I may be an immortal vampire, but I still don't like bugs).

Too many times this has happened, Adam leaves the house, forgets to close the door, leaves Annie or me to do it.

I grabbed the broom kept under the couch in the living room, and used it to stand far enough away from the door that the sun wouldn't hit me.

Of course at that time the broom decided it'd had a long (only 140 years) life, and broke in my hands.

"Maya!" I yelled using my last resort.

"What?" She asked annoyed.

Maya was a lot younger than Adam, Annie, and me. Well she seemed a lot younger. Imagine being immortal in a 13 year old's body. That's how Maya feels. Annie and I were at least stuck in 17 year old bodies.

"The broom broke."

"Ugh!" She stomped down the stairs and to the door where she slammed it shut.

"No luck on the spells, I guess?" I asked.

"Nothing! There's nothing. There's a spell for extra ice cream and even a tickle fight, but no unlock spell."

"What about the levitating-" Maya cut me off, "I've had that one memorized since kindergarten, but I forgot the ending of the unlock spell."

"You'll figure it out." I patted her back.

"Soon, I can feel them trying to track us down. I don't want the sun slowing you and Annie down."

"Speaking of Annie she's making dinner." I informed her.

"I'll go order the pizza." She sighed.

Just like everyone suspected Annie burned the dinner and almost the kitchen.

"Thank goodness I ordered pizza!" Maya said when she smelt smoke.

"I'm not that bad of a cook." Annie protested.

We all looked into the smoky kitchen.

"Pizza it is then." She sighed defeated.

"Hey tonight Annie and I are going out, you want to come?" I asked Maya grabbing another slice of pizza.

"Sure, I need a break from studying."

"This pizza is so gross." Annie complained.

"Go eat your fire." I said to her. "That must be way better than this."

"Shut up."
