You burn the kitchen down a few times, and you're banned from cooking! What kind of crap is that? So maybe I've actually never to learned to cook, but some homeless lady loved my food.

"Annie, go get dressed." June commanded. "We don't want to waste the moon while we have it."

"otključati!" Maya shouted out of nowhere. All the doors in the house suddenly swung open.

"What the hell?" I turned to her.

"It's the unlock spell!"

"Wait does that mean we get our sun necklaces?" June asked.

"Nope." Maya said popping the 'p'. "I just have to find the enhanced unlocking spell."

"Ugh...." June and I groaned.

"Go to the party without me, I'm going to do the research on the spell."

June and I just shrugged and walked upstairs. We knew better than to push Maya into something when she already set her mind on something else.

My room was at the end of the long dark hall. Unlike the dark hallway my room was bright and cheerful. The walls were bright yellow like the sun. I even painted a sun on one of the walls. I had floor the ceiling windows with large pink drapes. I loved the sun, but if I moved the drapes during the day, I might as well be considered ash. In the corner, far enough away from the windows was my bed. It was covered in bright pink, green, and yellow pillows and blankets.

I headed over to the mirror and dresser placed in the corner of my room. I took out many outfits, and started trying on the ones I liked best.

Thankfully the whole mirror myth about vampires was false and I can still see my reflection.

I ran my hands through my long white blonde hair, hoping to get the last tangles out without using a brush. I put on a white tank top and blue leather jacket that made my sky blue eyes stand out. I slipped on black jeans and blue flats.

I left my room to be greeted by June who was wearing a black leather jacket, red band t-shirt, ripped jeans, and black ankle boots. Her chocolate brown hair hung over her shoulder in a braid.

"Ready to have some fun?" June asked.

Before I can answer a loud thud followed by cursing came from Maya's room, "More than ever."

"Don't forget to fill our bottles up with blood," June reminded me.

I nodded and continued to fill up our water bottles with blood that we 'borrowed' from the hospital blood donation drive.

"Here," I handed June the water bottle before we both sped out of the house.

The myth about vampires being able to turn into bats was false, and same with myth about vampires being able to fly (June was very disappointed to learn that), but the myth about vampires being able to move really fast is true.

June and I arrived at the party in a total of ten seconds. The high school near our house always threw a beginning of the year party. Since June and I already finished school years ago, we just came to party.

June immediately found herself at the dance floor, and started talking to other people. I was never one for parties so I just wondered around.

"Hey," A deep voice made me look up.

I was greeted with a warm smile. The dude who had said 'hey' to me had brown eyes I could get lost in all day and slick black hair.

"Hey, I'm Mark." The dude- Mark held out his hand.

I shook his hand trying to remember how to talk. "Hi M-Mark, I'm Annie."

"Nice to meet you Annie."
