"Did you guys want something to drink?" Rachel asked, handing me the popcorn for Takashi and I share. "Just water please." Takashi had replied shyly. "I'll grab drinks Rachel, just sit," I commented getting up. Rachel nodded and sat down as I went into the kitchen. I opened the fridge door, grabbing two water bottles and a Gatorade. I closed the fridge door and walked back to the living room. I heard whispering as I walked in so I stopped to see Rachel whispering into Takashi's ear. "What are you guys whispering about?" I asked causing Rachel to jump back. I looked at Takashi and he was just looking down at the group, not even daring to meet my eyes. "Just getting to know Takashi," Rachel replies. I turned my attention back to Takashi and he just quickly nodded. I shot Rachel a weird look and she shot me a bewildered look in response. Rachel moved back to her spot and I passed out the drinks. After a few minutes of watching Seven Deadly Sins, I leaned over to Takashi. "Whatever she said just ignore it. She can be a little kooky sometimes." I whispered gently into his ear. His face lit up with blush. What the hell did she say to him? As I was about to open my mouth and ask Rachel shushed me. "Don't hate the player, hate the game," I said before getting hit in the face with a pillow. "Jane you better shut up." Rachel said, getting another pillow ready. "Or what? You don't scare me?" I replied and stuck my tongue out. Before I knew it, another pillow was coming for my face. Knowing better this time I ducked before it could reach me. I looked over to see that the pillow that was meant for me instead got to hit Takashi in his face. "Takashi I-" Rachel started before getting hit in the face with a pillow that was surprisingly from Takashi. And as anyone could've guessed a pillow fight broke out, every man for themselves. All the could be heard in the room was giggling, laughing, talking mid-sentence then getting a pillow to the face, and the screams when we would have two of us gang up on the other person. And throughout the living room, you could see a smile on everyone's face, even Takashi who gave a small smile. As Rachel ran away, getting more pillows I went in for the kill. I moved quickly with my pillow to hit Takashi in the head since the back of his head facing me. But with the speed of fucking light, he turned and pinned me against the wall. "Gottcha." He said. Just like the first time something like this happened I felt his soft breath against my lips. I felt my heart rate begin to pick up with blush spread across my face. What.the.flying.fuck. Am I having a heart attack? Is this what dying feels like? Then I moved my head as I saw Rachel throw a pillow at Takashi. Takashi's head moved slightly forward, he would have been where my lips were. I got out of his grasp and hit him with the pillow in my hands. I didn't look back up at him, I wanted to forget that awkward situation. I'm just glad we didn't kiss, now that would've been the real horror. After a few more minutes we got tired and called it quits, turning back to the anime we were watching before this war broke out. "Sorry about earlier," Takashi leaned in my ear and whispered. "It's okay, let's just act like that never happened. It'll be less awkward that way." I whispered back. Takashi nodded and went back to watching the t.v. I continued to watch the anime as I reached for the popcorn the Takashi was holding. I took some popcorn from the bowl and began to eat it. Once I finished the handful I went for another handful. After three handfuls later I felt something soft in the bowl. I ran my hand down whatever the soft thing was and I felt my soul leave my body as I grabbed it. "Takashi?" I whispered. I heard a small hum from Takashi. "I'm holding your hand, aren't I?"I asked only receiving a small nod. I had to let go but the awkward but of me was being awkward and not letting go. I quietly sighed and put on a brave face as I pulled my hand away from Takashi's. I just want this night to end already.
