His lips were incredibly soft and the kiss was so gentle. "Hello, earth to Jane?" Rachel brought me out of my thoughts. I looked over at her as she raised one of her eyebrows confused. "Sorry, what were you talking about?" I asked, looking down at the questions were suppose to be answering. "Are you okay? You seem a little out of it today." Rachel said. "Yeah, just thinking about the...dance?" I replied, not making eye contact with her. "Stop with the bullshit Jane, you don't care about anything so something's bothering you. Is it Takashi?" Rachel asked, continuing to stare at me. "Last night I hung out with Takashi and...and we kissed," I said and sighed heavily. "Are you serious? Are you guys dating? What happened after that?" Rachel questioned. "After we kissed I ran away," I replied. Part of that was true and part of it wasn't. I didn't want to tell her everything because I feel embarrassed about what happened after that. I'm not really supposed to say what happened but after we kissed in kind of led to us making out. After we made out for a bit we stopped and processed what happened, then after sitting in awkward silence we agreed that it was a huge mistake and never to talk about it. So when we saw each other today we acted like we didn't even hang out yesterday. "Why would you run?" Rachel asked. "It was awkward and very weird." I lied, sometimes you can't tell people the truth. "Is it still awkward between the two of you?" Rachel asked. "No, we decided to just forget the event ever happened," I replied. My problem with forgetting about the whole thing is that I can't I literally not only kissed but made out with a guy I barely met. "Is this the whole truth," Rachel asked suspiciously. "Totally," I replied. I feel like she can not only tell I'm lying but also see into my soul. "Any other questions?" I asked. "Yeah just one more. Did you enjoy the kiss?" Rachel asked. "What kind of question is that?" I asked. I feel my face heating up a bit at the question. "It's my last question, did you enjoy kissing Takashi?" Rachel asked. "I don't know, I haven't put much thought into that," I replied. "Don't start with the lies now Jane. You've been thinking about it all day so you have to know if you enjoyed it or threw up in your mouth. So which is it?" Rachel asked. "Part of me did and part of me didn't," I replied. Rachel just smiled, satisfied with her answer. "If you want to talk about this more we can talk after school at my house." Rachel said. "That would be great," I replied, collecting my stuff. The bell rang and we waved to each other and parted ways since the next class I had was on the opposite side of the school compared to hers. I saw Takashi on his way to class, we made eye contact for three seconds then he looked away flustered. Yes, this happened every time we made eye contact today. I heavily sighed and walked into my next class.
