We're Just Friends

~Chapter 2~

"Who the hell is this?" I had asked, face full of confusion. "This guy is one of Skylar's friends." Beverly had replied, looking at me. "My name is Takashi." The unknown kid said to me. "Name's Jane," I said, holding my hand out for him to shake. He shook my hand, not as firm as it should be and his hands were soft, it's really weird. "I thought all Skylar's friends were older," I said and let go of his hand. "No Takashi is the youngest." Skylar had replied. "How old are you then?" Rachel asked. "16," Takashi replied to Rachel's question. "You would know all this if you two got here earlier for the introduction," Beverly said. She is the whole reason why this group is together in the first place. "Sorry slept in late once more," I said smiling, why? Because everyone knows that I am one of the longest sleepers. "I had to check out my work schedule this week." Rachel said.  "Are we going to have a sub today for English?" Danielle asked. "Yeah since Mr. Myers isn't here," Rachel replied. We all heard the bell ring and rushed off to our classes. Rachel and I still walked by each other since our lockers were right next to each other. "Great we have another member in our group, and you seem to be extra friendly with him." Rachel teased me, it didn't have any effect on me. "In your god damn nightmares Rachel." I had replied to her and smirked. We made it to our lockers and dropped off a few things and picked up other things. "Your such a cliché." Rachel said, laughing a tiny bit. "How?" I asked, both of us closing our lockers and heading off to class. "You hate to love, a new boy comes, the new boy is different from the other boys, one of the many love story clichés," Rachel replied. As we were walking I saw Takashi wondering the halls, he looked confused. Probably lost from my guess. "Rachel I'll catch up with you later," I said and stopped. Rachel looked back at me confused but nodded. "Don't be late for class." Rachel said and walked up to the nearby staircase. I looked away from the staircase and went over to Takashi. "Are you lost?" I asked. I saw him jump and looked behind him. "What gave it away?" Takashi asks jokingly. "Here let me see your schedule," I said. He handed me the schedule that was in his left hand, I looked over it. "I know where all of these are, I had these classes last year," I said. I was relieved that I knew where these were. I went for the staircase that Rachel went up earlier. After what felt like forever I finally finished showing Takashi around. I heard the bell ring, second-hour is about to begin. "Alright well good luck new kid, I hope you survive your first day." I had said to him, waving as I walked to my second-hour class.
