as the vk's walk through the hallway with max and riley a few steps behind them, a bunch of girls greet jay. "why do you torture them? just pick someone to take to cotillion already." carlos says, jay shrugged. "i'm going solo. that way, i can dance with all of them." jay smirked, making evie roll her eyes. "you're the expert. um, jay... if you were gonna ask someone, what's the best way to go?" carlos asked, catching max and riley's attention. "listen, all you got to do. is look like me." he explained, "oh. ha ha." carlos said, before jane came up. "mal." she said, riley watched carefully as carlos face lit up when jane came. "hey jane." he softly said, jane smiled "hey." she replied. "i was wondering.uh. if you liked the. carrot cake last night?" carlos asked, riley and max looked at each other with confusion. "i had the pumpkin pie." she smiled, "oh. uhm cool." carlos stuttered, stopping when he saw max and riley pass by them. jay's eyes widen watching as jane shifted uncomfortably, "look at all of these new people." riley happily said, "no." max shook her head, "why no?" riley furrowed her eyebrows. carlos froze, well they all did. not wanting them to find out that carlos has been hanging out with jane a lot more, jane slowly turned around watching the two. "because you're getting all interested in everybody, aren't you?" max complained, the group didn't notice how close max and her new friends actually were. and how much they changed a little in arendelle. "what's wrong with getting interested in people?" she asked, "no." max answered. "why no?" she asked again. "because you're only supposed to be pretend interested in however many people we already know." max explained, jay raised a single eyebrow looking at carlos who had the same expression. "you're only pretend interested in people?" riley asked, "well yes but no. everyone's more comfortable that way. watch." max said walking ahead of riley, jane narrowed her eyes as max approached a new kid. "hey you!" max smiled, the new girl smiled back. "hey you!" she replied, max turned to riley not even noticing the group had been watching their every move.

"now watch this." max said, "how are you?" she asked, "how are you?" the new kid said back, "no. i really mean it, how are you?" max said, the student glared at her. "back off." she said, carlos furrowed his eyebrows. "yeah. get out off my life." max said, carlos was taken aback by that. "i look out at the sea of new students and would like to explore the potential of new friendships for us. what would you like?" riley happily said, again. "i would like everyone to mind their business." max cracked a forced smile, looking at her nails. riley shook her head looking at all the other new kids. "who's the lucky person who's going to get blessed with our special kind of friendship?" riley asked, "i wouldn't force that on anybody." max shrugged. "watch me." riley said as she walked up to one of the new girls. riley introduced herself confidently, "this is my friend max." riley pointed to her, to which she just waved smiling. max watched as riley compliments her about everything, the new girl fake smiled turning to max. "hm. i don't like her at all." she said, max watched as riley's face died. "she. she don't like me." riley's voice died down, evie pouts looking at riley. "watch whatever happens next." max said with fake amusement in it, they all watched as riley backed away a little breathing out and came back. "hi, max. who's this? a new friend of yours? well, any new friend of maya is a great friend of mine. hi." riley said, grabbing her hand to shake it. carlos lips parted watching as max slowly started to bend down, sat against the lockers with her legs and arms open. "wow." was all she said before shutting her locker and leaving. jane looked at riley who's face was filled with sadness, she pressed her lips together when riley slowly fell to the ground, crawling to max's open space as max hugged her, petting her hair. "and they lived here for the rest of their lives." max joked, making carlos crack a small smile.
