max's face dropped along with her heart, "max. i'm really sorry, i didn't mean to do it." carlos squeezed her hand, she quickly pulled her hand away. carlos looked at her with regret, "you kissed jane?" she stutters, looking anywhere buy his eyes. "i didn't mean to! it was in the moment." he couldn't put anything in words, he was so scared he'd lose her and he's started to think he will. "isadora." he whispered, max raised an eyebrow. "isadora? like smackle?" she asked, carlos nods. "wait what? why didn't she tell me?" she said getting up, "where are you going?" carlos asked holding his arm up. "i take it parker doesn't know?" she raised her eyebrows, he looks down. max nods and took off to jane's room. carlos cursed under his breath and followed behind her. in jane's room, jane had talked to parker and told him. isadora trying not to get involved since she just walked out of the bathroom, soon the door slammed open. revealing ahmad and carlos, "you guys kissed?" parker asked jane, the second the door opened. "it wasn't any of our intention. it was a mistake." jane quickly said, "smackle you knew?" max called out, making everyone look at her. isadora nods sneaking a glance to carlos. "why didn't you tell me?" max asked, isadora looked taken aback which max questioned in her head. "what. what do you mean?" she asked, "i mean exactly what i mean. why didn't you tell me they kissed?" she asked again, "uhm? carlos told me he already told you." isadora spoke, looking at him.

max chuckled, turning to carlos. "you must really like lying huh." max asked, now getting annoyed. "i'm sorry. like i said i was scared! you were gonna take it the wrong way-" "how else am i suppose to take it carlos? by letting it go and forgiving you. you made that choice, to kiss her. but why do you go out and lie to yourself, to me, and everyone else. when i'm right here. i'm right here carlos." she cried out, a tear escaping her eye as she quickly wiped it away. "i'm not like you, i'm a villain max-" "so am i!" he stopped and almost broke down from her face and eyes, it finally actually looked like her world was crashing down and she wasn't hiding it anymore. "you were too busy with your queen stuff to talk it out." carlos said, shaking his head a little. "my queen stuff?" she asked, "yes! you were always busy, how was i supposed to talk to you?" he argued. "by talking to me! you never told me, that's the thing. you keep everything in, you don't tell me-" "so do you! you hide everything under that stupid smile i fell for. you never made time for me, for any of us." he snapped. "you think it's so easy carlos! of course i try to make time, i'm doing too much in one time i can't even breathe!" max snapped as well, "well you trying is nothing. at least put some 100% in us." he said, immediately wanting to take it back and regretting it. "wow." she whispered, "okay. i know i haven't been putting in time for both of us but now i feel like this is all on me. i've been trying, it's all too much." max said, "well try harder. maybe if you weren't so busy, we would be fine." carlos spoke. "carlos i have a whole world to take care of, scratch that. i'm queen of auradon and i'm becoming queen of arendelle, it's too much for me. i'm only 16." max said, he stopped before answering again. "exactly. too young. i don't think you need a king maxine." his voice cracked, she stopped and looked at him.

it was silent for a few seconds before a window opens, and in came crawling in. riley, farkle, lucas. "ladies." farkle said, looking at isadora before realizing something had happened when isadora gave him a look. "woah, what'd i miss." farkle said, stopping once he saw the tension around the room. then josh walked in the room, "i took some food." he said, finally looking up. "did i miss something?" he questioned, max looked at carlos and back to him. her eyes watering, shaking her head. "nothing. nothing happened." she said, as she said that. ben accidentally collided with josh running in, evie and jay behind her. "ow." he mumbled. "mal's gone back to the isle." was all ben said.
