Chapter 15

Dixie pov:

"Griffin! Where are we going!" I screeched excitedly.

"You'll see baby." He said pulling me and that's when I saw it. He had set up a picnic in the woods. It was decorated beautifully.

"Griff, You did this?"

"Yeah... do you like it?"

"Griffin I love it!"

We spent what felt like a while talking, eating, and giggling at each other. I looked at my phone and saw a bunch of missed calls and texts from Charli, Chase, Nick, and Tony.

 Oh. My. Gosh. No one knows where I am. They are probably worried sick about me. I should of told someone.

Griffin must of seen my face drop because he asked "What's wrong?"

"I didn't tell anyone where I was going and I think they are looking for-"

I looked up and Charli, Chase. Nick, and Tony were standing there. Charli ran to me.
"Dixie! What is wrong with you? We thought you were in danger. I was sobbing and here you are having a... a PICNIC?" Anger was rising in her I could see.

"Charli, I-"

"You know, I'm sorry I came ruining your special secret date. I guess I just really care about you." She said turning her back and starting to walk away.

Chase grabbed her arm and I heard him whisper something to Charli. But Charli started to leave still.

"Charli. You can't leave by yourself." Chase said trying to get her to stop.

"Well, i'm planning to." Charli said tears coming down her bright red cheeks.

"Charli!" I yelled. "I messed up okay? I'm sorry. I should of told you!"

"You messed up? By coming here with me?" I heard Griffin ask from behind me. He looked upset.

"Griffin. You know that's not what I meant..." I said wanting to cry.

"Well it's what you said."

"You can have the picnic stuff." He said walking away.

"I'm sorry Dixie.. I didn't mean to I was just-" Charli started to say.

"I know what you were doing. Trying to get back at me."

"Dixie! You know i'd never do that." She said crying.

Charli pov: 

I rushed around and fell into Chase. He rubbed my head and whispered "Don't worry baby. It'll be okay, she's just upset."

"Dixie can you please just come with us home. I love you."

"Can you help me fix this? Griffin is important to me. I need him to know that." She said crying.

"Of course Dixie. I have just the idea." I said smirking. I had the perfect idea. 

We were walking home when Chase leaned over to me and said these words that I knew were going to change my life.
