Tell us what will happen tonight, Lili! Binata ka na! From: Allen
When I received his message, I sighed thinking I could've told Apol personally that I won't make into her contest tonight because I'll be spending the night with my family and I'm sure if she heard my reason she would understand. Though I'm still trying to look positive with the outcome even when I told that I promised that I'll be there. I shouldn't have told her and I won't be worrying about it now.
I'm interested to go to her contest, I know it is some kind of big event for her but I would rather spend the night with my family after a week of being away from them. And I'm not sure if she will speak to me right after.
Before heading back home, as I promise to Natalia that I would buy some cake for mom. And she hasn't been stopping to remind me so I wouldn't forget about it.
This week hasn't been good, not enough interesting but more likely I wouldn't forget any of what happened because it somehow brought a little chaos but on the brighter side of everything that can sum up a mess, it is Mom's birthday and knowing that someone has a crush on me. Never in my life someone confessed and admit to me that they like me-and for me, I have no courage to do it. I have no guts and maybe that's the reason I'm such a loser in this kind of scenario but I'm not doing the same thing as everyone does. I'm not up for it. I don't know why, but I think it's just not my priority at all-for now.
Almost three hours when I came back home and push the doorbell. I didn't wait for too long when Nat appeared hastily pulled me inside the house. I saw Pops and he just hushed me and my face went into confusion until my little sister brought me into my room. She locked the door as I sit down on the study table and wait for what she will announce as we're listening downstairs to mom's voice asking pops who was it. Pops answered her that it's just some stranger selling some kind of weird stuff.
"What's happening, Nat?" I asked.
"Mom doesn't know you're coming home-" and before I cut her off, she continued. "I told her I talked to you over the phone and you won't be coming home because you have some projects to do. And it seems like she bought it and now she's a little bit sad about it. Though she still wonders that you will surprise her base on her reaction just now."
"Don't you think she'll be mad?"
Nat shook his head, "I don't think so kuya, she understands what you need to comply with your school so she said that maybe next week we will spend her birthday once again and don't you worry about it, I take good care of it."
"I know, mana ka sa akin eh."
"No!" she exclaimed and laughed, "bakit wala ka pa kasing girlfriend, kuya? Wala tuloy akong mapagsabihan ng mga chika ko."
"I don't know either-and you can tell me, I'm your brother."
"No," it was firm she said. "Iba pa rin ang girl's talk, I'm still rooting for ate Manon, our neighbor chick, though she hasn't been home since she went into the university so maybe she already had a boyfriend. Good thing you didn't forget us, Kuya."
